  1. Congratulations and thank you for keeping us up to date on your progress!
  2. *** Moved from DCF forum to Working & Traveling During US Immigration, where topics related to travel and I-131 processing are discussed ***
  3. No. I suspect the CO just made a mistake checking the box for upload. I recommend you keep a scan of your documents, then send the originals following the instructions for 221(g) submission at the ustraveldocs portal. Then send an email to USEM via their inquiry form, to verify that no CEAC upload is required for your K1 case -- https://ph.usembassy.gov/contact-us-visas/
  4. *** Moved from K1 Process & Procedures to K1 Progress Reports ***
  5. *** Edited post to remove images with personally identifiable information (PII). Please redact your personal info when posting in this very public forum. ***
  6. Because different consulates have different preferences. Which consulate will your fiancee be interviewing at?

  9. *** Moved from IR1/CR1 Progress Reports to Moving to the US forum, where similar topics about POE procedures are discussed ***
  10. Unfortunate that you've now joined the MTL DS-5535 club. Here's the clubhouse --
  11. *** Merged yet another related thread. Please post your questions/updates related to your children's N-600 cases in this thread to keep the discussion in one place. ***
  12. That's normal since you don't actually have a visa case yet. Pay the MRV fee, book your interview appointment, and attend your interview. Then check the case status on CEAC.
  13. Does your mother's immigrant visa have the annotation "IV DOCS IN CCD"? If so, that means her case files will be sent electronically, so no need for any sealed envelope to be handed over to CBP at POE.

  15. *** Removed duplicate post from another member's thread. Please do not post the same question across multiple threads, as that is considered spamming. Post your related questions in this thread to keep the discussion in one place. ***
  16. W2 & 1099 are IRS forms. Your employer or bank would have sent you the filled-out W2 or 1099 form to file your 1040 tax return.
  17. Good idea to have the F3 derivative spouse pursue IR5 instead, to check if the consulate will require a waiver.
  18. Only after becoming a US citizen. You will need to submit a copy of your naturalization certificate to upgrade the case to IR1.
  19. *** Post split off from a thread about another member's case. Please post questions/updates about your case in this thread. *** W2 from employer, 1099 from bank.
  20. I think you mean that your sister will (hopefully) be your substitute sponsor through humanitarian reinstatement. Only your parent can be your petitioner for an F3 visa case, and sibling petitioner means an F4 case.
  21. *** Moved from Bringing Family of LPR forum to Moving to the US & Your New Life In America forum, where similar topics about processes after US entry are discussed *** 1. If your wife selected the option in her DS-260 form to receive SSN, then her SSN card should arrive in the mail within 2 weeks or so of her US entry. If it doesn't arrive in 1 month, she should book an appointment at the local SSA office to apply for SSN in person. 2. The moment CBP stamped her F2A visa, she already became an LPR, authorized to work. No need for EAD. Her F2A visa + CBP entry stamp serves as her temporary green card for 1 year, equivalent to the plastic GC for any legal purpose, including employment and travel. Have you paid the $220 immigrant fee for the plastic GC?
  22. The "LND2023xxxxxx" number is your NVC case number. You should have received another email (subject: "Notice of Immigrant Visa Case Creation") with your invoice ID. Did you check your trash or spam email folder?
  23. *** Merged related threads. Please post your questions/updates related to this topic in this thread to keep the discussion in one place. ***
  24. For employment purposes, all that matters is that you have EAD. You are an EAD holder, authorized to work. Not a mistake. Being married to a US citizen or LPR gives you the option of filing federal taxes MFJ, regardless of your immigration status. As far as IRS is concerned, you are a US resident for tax purposes, no matter what your status actually is in USCIS records.
