  1. Hi, @Chancy but our process is NOT through Montreal (who is slow all the time). Our process is in the US Consulate in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
  2. We use the same email address (my own) so I am the one reaching out to them. We are aware of that, but he needs his passport to work and it is retained with the us embassy...
  3. I did already and even mentioned that he is a flight attendant who relies on his passaport to travel internationally and they never confirmed that the passport can be returned. I spoke with the US Embassy three times asking for a timeline and requesting the passport back in case it will take more than 30 days for the visa to be issued and they keep changing the subject.
  4. Hi, but can they retain my spouse's passport without providing a timeline? I have spoken with other airline friends who have received the same form to complete and all of them had their visas approved between 30 and 60 days.
  5. Hello everyone, I am the main applicant of the eb2-NIW visa and my visa has been issue while my partner was requested to submit the DS-5535 form and his visa is still with a 'refused / admin processing" status. I entered the US yesterday and activated my greencard while my partner entered as a tourist while he wait for his visa to be issued. I would like to know if there is a timeline for this to be completed, considering that the US Embassy has retained his passport for 2 weeks now and they don't provide any updates on this. In addition, I want my spouse to be with me here in the US and start working instead of being here as a tourist. Any tips, advice? Thanks
  6. Hi, thanks for the reply What I mean is that depending on your port of entry, sometimes they are not fully trained on the process to retain you eb2 package (a lot of docs) and sometimes it can also delay the arrival of your greencard.
  7. Hello everyone, I was wondering if there is anyone in here who has activated their EB2 (to wait for the greencard to be issued) through the US immigration in Pearson Airport (in TO, Canada). I wanted to check if the process was smooth, etc Thank you!
  8. Oh Lord. I don't know what else to do with all of this... I thought about transferring the case to another consulate in my home country but it might become challenging for us to do that...and in the process, what if they end up asking for more documents, etc...
  9. Hi, when was your DQ date? Mine was from November 2022 and no interview letter was sent to me yet...is it safe to assume that for DQ sent late last year will be called for an interview in 2-3 months?
  10. Thanks for your quick response. I will chat with my lawyer to see if we can initiate the transfer of case to Brazil as this long wait is killing us here and we are missing important business opportunities.
  11. Hi, but how can it take almost 2 years for an interview to be scheduled? is it worth transferring the interview location to my country of birth, Brazil? the sheet you've shared above is a little confusing to me as it doesn't show full complete data.
  12. Hello everyone, I've been following the thread but can't seem to find the info I am looking for. I received the email from NVC on Dec 7th 22 stating that I should wait for a new email confirming an interview date in Canada (probably Montreal) but it has been so long and I'm not sure what the estimated time is for that interview to happen. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks 🙏 My timeline: Case sent on July 2nd, 2021 Case Approved on February 16, 2022 Case sent to dept of state on Aug 24, 2022 Email from NVC confirming interview date pending to be scheduled: Dec 7th, 2022
