  1. On the contrary I believe applying again and immediately asserting she has zero interest in a spousal visa, chances would be much higher. Sometimes consular offices default to the cookie cutter first option of denying the application without really reviewing the situation. To the OP, I sympathize with your situation. Is your spouse a young lady and have you been married for a relatively short time? If that’s the case her chances may be a little worse. Alternatively you can try your senator/congressman or humanitarian parole however that may take months.
  2. Qualifying on asset’s seems to have become a lottery play purely at the whims and caprices of consular officers
  3. Based on all you’ve written your chances of getting the visa are around 40%. I know the number is meaningless https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/Non-Immigrant-Statistics/RefusalRates/FY21.pdf Armenians have a very crude refusal rate of 37%. You have less ties to your home and more ties to the USA than the average Armenian so I’d say your chances of refusal are higher probably 50%. Mentioning your boyfriend as sponsor, not having a job or enrolled in school at the proposed time of visit are all negatives. Basically if I were the consular officer, I likely wouldn’t approve your visa. It’s only $160, give it a shot!
  4. No, why should you? You could get lucky. Worst thing that happens is you’re given voluntary departure. As one recent American used to say what do you have to lose? Good luck!
  5. For what? It’s a waste of time in my opinion if you’re put in removal proceedings at the airport. The truth is you abandoned your LPR status long ago and will only be allowed to enter because that’s the law. I expect the any immigration judge worth his credentials to summarily terminate your permanent resident status and give you voluntary departure or barring that ask that you be removed. Youve done nothing to show you intended to make the USA 🇺🇸 your home. Saying you couldn’t find a job doesn’t cut it. There are many fast food joints that would have willingly employed. Note that you’re not entitled to a job in line with your education. My $0.02!
  6. Sorry about the loss of your baby and the difficulties you’re going through however there’s nothing special about your case (I mean this in a good way). The Covid and etc and working 24/7 should not be a reason not to have joint bank statements and other documents showing you’re building a life together. There’s a list of documents floating around. There are many types of documents you might not have thought about which provide evidence of building a life together. Maybe someone can post links. I would advise you to get a competent immigration attorney (something I almost never recommend) to assemble those documents because it appears you’re distraught and don’t have the clarity of thought and attention to detail required to put together the package to rebut the NOID. Good luck!
  7. In that case it’s no big deal whether you made a mistake or not in not adding. Even if it were misrepresentation (which it’s not) it’s not material because revealing it would not affect any decision. Good luck with your process!
  8. Did you even read what I wrote and the case law I quoted or you simply jumped in to state an opinion because that’s how you feel?
  9. It can be done. Exiting the USA is not a problem. Returning is the problem which can be solved by getting an emergency passport at the US 🇺🇸 embassy in his country. Alternatively on his return he can try to board with his other passport and green card (it takes some time for them to synchronize the systems and void it in their database). The airline may not allow him boarding if that’s the case. For the overzealous ones here who will claim I am proposing something illegal, I am not proposing anything illegal because it’s not a felony for an American citizen to enter on another passport (it’s simply not recommended). This was established in law If it’s imperative that he visits his country, he should go. If it’s not, he should delay until he acquires his USA 🇺🇸 passport. Bon voyage to him!
  10. I have the same philosophy. Diogenes of Sinope is famously supposed to have made the statement I am neither an Athenian nor a Greek, but a citizen of the world In my heart I will always be a Ghanaian 🇬🇭 regardless of what passport I use etc although I have a lot of love for the USA 🇺🇸. In any case my accent and skin color ensures that I will never be considered fully American anyway.
  11. Voting is a waste of time in my opinion. Just two sets of opportunists (foxes and wolves), either way citizens are screwed and will get eaten. Once again strictly my opinion.
  12. I totally respect your opinion and position, however does this mean you’re basically just enduring living here for the past x years?
  13. The amount of loan you’re extended is affected by your income however Credit score has absolutely nothing to do with income. However when you’re purchasing a house or vehicle they will check your income and debt to income ratios.
  14. Gotcha! Well then my advice is use the Amex for anything and everything for the next six months or so then apply for another card or two from different issuers preferably on the same day. Your strategy should be to build your credit limit fast. With diligence you can be approved after about a year. If you need a vehicle before then you may need a co-signer. Why doesn’t your spouse have an Experian score? It’s not fatal though because most creditors pull your score from only one or two bureaus. There’s a list floating online of which creditor uses which bureaus so you know which to apply for. Capital One is one of the few that pulls from all the bureaus for each credit application. You may want to read up on credit from the various credit dedicated websites/forums outside VJ.
  15. My recommendation is per person. Yes you’re married and intertwine your finances and will add the other as an authorized user etc however I also believe your credit should be great even as a standalone individual. However I am a little confused. I hope you’re aware once you hit around 760, higher scores generally don’t give you better rates? https://www.cnbc.com/2018/10/09/going-higher-than-this-credit-score-is-a-waste-of-time-expert-says.html If you got approved for an AMEX you’re likely in the 700’s and most likely above 720 and your scores will increase with responsible use (keeping utilization low and no late incidents) and time, so you don’t need “gimmicks” of being added as authorized user to another person’s card to boost your score. What are you trying to achieve the credit boost for in the short term, maybe that will help me advise you?
  16. I have 18 credit cards with total limits a little north of $600k and average credit score across the three bureaus of 836. However that is not normal and although it hasn’t hurt me, I don’t recommend it. One or two Visa, one Mastercard, and one Amex making four is enough.
  17. Before I join the band wagon of condemnation, may I ask who was financing the family when you were undocumented? Was she financing the entire household expenses. Your wife’s behavior is unreasonable and I will not condemn you for being upset. Nevertheless I think you’ve accelerated from 0 to 100mph too fast. Get some counseling and intervention. If after that she refuses to see reason, I can’t argue with your position. To answer your question, will it look callous to outsiders like myself? Absolutely! The rationale and convenient timing (right after getting citizenship) etc makes it look cold and calculated. Can you petition for a foreign spouse? Yes, I suspect that’s your true motivation 😂🤣😂🤣😂
  18. Based purely on the information you have provided here, I estimate your chances as slim at best.
  19. Maybe because it appears you don’t know what you’re doing. Normally I would advise people to file these forms themselves however you seem a bit lost. Sometimes it’s better to pay money for peace of mind.
  20. Methinks the logic is not faulty. Although a Green Card will not prevent them from being pulled into secondary, it guarantees they can’t be turned away at entry which is what the OP is afraid of. With that said, unless the parents are planning to actually live here permanently and visit the home country, a green card will eventually be revoked if they continue spending more time outside the USA than here. OP Should think it through carefully. I was pulled into secondary on my second visit to the USA some 25 years ago, didn’t have a subsequent adverse effect. It happens.
  21. Wishful thinking on your part. Accept the reality, it’s not going to happen unfortunately.
  22. Not necessarily. It could be a waiver of previous violation, ie illegal work and not for misrepresentation (saying that you were going to visit when instead you were “apparently” working). At this point we don’t know yet exactly which.
