  1. Well I don't think the embassy might ask that since I'm from Pakistan and I'll be applying from UAE? Idk I think I'll have to ask them.
  2. My highschool certificate/diploma is already in English, do I need to get it attested tho? Just in case?(attestation is like verification by government saying that yes it's legit). And thank you for writing back
  3. I'll try my bestest to explain the situation to VO I hope he gives me enough time to express everything, since English is not my first language and I'll be very nervous at the interview.
  4. Hi, I intend to apply into a community college, it provides a 2 year associate degree which can be transferred into pathway program into a university where you can study for 2 more years and get a full bachelors degree, it's more cost efficient for me personally plus associate degree gives me hands on skills throughout those 2 years at college, but the main reason of going for community college is it's cost efficient studies..my question is if I tell this clearly to the VO would I face rejection? Like what is community colleges visa approval ratio?
  5. Yes I will absolutely be honest about everything, since I have no intentions to stay in the united states after my studies I got nothing to hide, thank you for replying
  6. I definitely will try my luck, rest is upon the almighty. Fingers crossed.
  7. I do not plan on lying, I'm just asking a question that if him being there is an issue or not...it's not like I'm not going to declare him on my form? I definitely will and I'll be as open as I can be to the VO about him. Indeed college is accredited and provides i-20 thank you for writing back
  8. The program I'm going for is associate degree and yes they do get you OPT. I'm not funding myself my parents are?? I never said I'll be funding myself..plus I'm not from UAE I'm here cuz we have family business here and I'm voluntarily working here while earning a handsome amount of money from it(despite this my parents will be the ones supporting my education because they can). Lastly I literally have no intent on staying in USA If I was planning for staying I'd have gone for canada(which is more easier to get into and easier to get PR from too). But thank you for the answers
  9. Good point, but I'll be eligible for OPT/STEM programs once done with my degree/diploma and that will put my resume for jobs on a higher level than local candidates and having American experience on my resume will help me grasp better opportunities back home, can't do such wonders with just an American degree from an american uni in UAE.
  10. That's a good point, but from where I'm from degrees/diploma's/associate degrees from abroad are quite popular among big firms and companies they always consider people who have some sort of diploma or degree from USA or Canada so in that perspective it'll help me secure a good place once I apply for a job back home
  11. I'm an highschool pass out? Aren't diploma's good enough instead of 4 year degrees since diploma's or associate degrees teach field skills in less time and less cost but effective as a full degree ?
  12. Hi thank you for replying to me as I was very confused regarding this, I have another question that my uncle Iives in USA and he has offered me to stay with him throughout my study tenure since the college I'll be applying to doesn't have an on campus accomodations, will living with him be a red flag for the VO? I'll have sufficient funds in my account to take care of myself but since he offered me to stay with him I wish to stay over at his house, please guide me regarding this query thank you
