@carly+anton There are many free digital passport photo apps on Andriod and iPhone. Transfer the photo to computer, use department of state app to ensure proper cropping, resize to 300X300 pixels, duplicate them 3 across 2 below and print it out free with the insane number of free photo coupons Walgreens offers every month (coupon code on slickdeals forum). I have like 500 free passport photos of an entire lifetime thanks to the monthly free Walgreens photo promos

You did get an RFE with further instructions in June.  It instructed you to "send" the medical to them no later than Sept. 8.

Send does not mean bring it with you to the interview.

A motion to reopen will fail since you made the mistake of not sending in the medical.

Start over with a new filing.

W.Rominger got a reaction from Roeentan in January 2020 AOS Filers
The interview started with going thru all the personal detail. ( She asked our full name, birthday, address... and checked the info on our I485 while we answered). Then she went thru almost all questions on I485 Part8 one by one - just answer yes or no
After that she said " is there anything else you want to give me?"

and we submitted wedding photos, band documents, tax return... <- proof of marriage
as she go thru the photos we talked about our wedding... quite a casual chat but she would throw some questions in there like "how did you met" "what happened at the wedding" "have you met his parents before the wedding"

W.Rominger got a reaction from ourwildjourney in Notice of INTERVIEW to actual INTERVIEW
I nv received a "ready to be scheduled" notice
The next notice I received after the bio appointment was the Combo card. One month later the actual interview notice arrived (10/26), which was scheduled on 11/20
Or it might be because Hawaii is small and not as many cases in the queue this year.....

Because you have to do it right. The people who work at the lockbox go by a checklist. If something is different from that it will get rejected. They're not there to figure out what could potentially be meant otherwise waiting times would probably be way longer since you're not the first and probably not the last who did something like that.

You don’t sent originals to uscis.  So use the printed copy.  Bring the sealed copy to the interview if you are confident it will say what the printer copy says.  I doubt you will be asked for it at the interview.

Unfortunately that is the chance you take when you adjust status. If you went through with CR1 you wouldn't have had that issue and would have had greencard by now. You can abandon the process now and go to Canada and come back once you file and receive approval for CR1. You don't have any other choice if you decide you have to leave the country. I'm sorry you are going through this but it is a reality for those who chose to adjust status and not wait out the process.

    Hey all!

Does anyone have experience withdrawing their application/sending a letter to USCIS to explain your situation changed? We applied in October 2018, and only now in August 2020 did I get a temporary working permit. I haven't been allowed to leave the USA in over a year, and family members passed, and the pandemic & cuts to immigration here just make it feel hopeless. Obviously, my spouse is American (I am Canadian), and we have lots of family & friends on both sides of the border, so I am terrified of being banned from re entry, but also just can't wait around forever and not say goodbyes to loved ones at home.

It's been a really difficult year, I don't know what to do. Sorry if I am posting in the wrong section, I don't know who to talk to, my husband's family is very insensitive to the stress we've been under.

    Thanks

Sharing this on behalf of a VERY stressed friend, any insight?

-We filed for our spouse greencard in july 2019.
-In april 2020 i got my work permit.

-On august 24th we got an update saying our interview was scheduled and that we would receive a letter through mail with the date and time.
    - I checked our mail every single day

-We were still waiting and waiting. Then we received two letters in the mail on november 9th, we thought "yay our interview date"
    - one letter to my husband saying the I-130 is denied and abandoned because we did not show up on our interview date on September 28th
-2nd letter to me saying the I-485 was denied due to ^

Both letters say to send 290'bs with money order (675$ each) to MAYBE get it rectified.
[immigrant lawyer said they never ask 290bs/money order with the I-130 and that that is not rightly done by san antonio office]

    - we sent both forms with letter of explanation and money orders to uscis
    - we reached out to roger williams, lloyd doggett and ted cruz. They are talking to ucsis on our behalf.
    We reiceved this back today from roger williams office;

U.S . Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records confirm that the appointment notice was mailed timely and to the address on file. A review of the A-file has been conducted to determine if the notice was returned as undeliverable by the Post Office, it was not. The San Antonio Field Office has advised the applicant/constituent to refer to the instructions on the denial notice if they wish to request a Motion to Reopen.

•We request the motion already (the 290bs) takes 4-8 weeks to hear back
    •We never changed our address
•We would NEVER miss our interview date if we knew when it was

*Proof of marriage - wedding photos/lease/ tax return <-The interviewer was happy with what we submitted, did not ask for more proofs
    * Make sure to wear a face cover, and bring your own pen

Got a call back from a tier2 lady (at least i believe thats what she is) yesterday regarding my questions
    * any update for my RFE respond in April
ans: cannot find detail info in her system. "but no news is good news right?" she said...

*when will i get a reschedule for bio
ans: no rescheduling has be issue for my application. unfortunately the office has been closed for a long time and they need time to work on the cases

her answer really upsets my husband. he thought since my appointment was on 18th March, it should have been the 1st batch of case to be processed.
and like all y'all posted, people from June are getting their notices already and we are still waiting...

W.Rominger got a reaction from Dhilman2 in RapidVisa filing services. Is the company legitimate and worth the effort?
I hired an immigration attorney, also because my fiance is busy with work and thought hiring someone to do so would be easier
and guess what? you still need to gather every documents by urself
the only thing the attorney, and her legal assistant, does is to ask more details of everything ( more pic for proof of relation, more details for financial support)
we did had our application approved in one go, thanks to the attorney (maybe)
but before that, my fiance had to stop by their office almost every week, to drop off more file they found needed. and when they finally decided they had everything, they ask if we want to use express service or USPS.
we paid over 2000 for the attorney, and the fee doesnt cover delivery fee!
