Yes. I think I will .. my doctors are willing to write a statement for me as well to see if that doesn't help.  Thank you for the info.

That’s great! As I said, you don’t lose anything. I seeing people getting approved due to school for their kids, jobs waiting back home, financial reasons and medical, etc.

    Good luck!

Yeah .. it was like I was bothering her too much for one question.. seriously.. I'm hearing impaired and i was using my closed caption phone. I think it aggravated her that she had to wait until I read what she said to respond. It's not easy for me either. I was frustrated. God Willing he will get his interview 🙏 for July. I don't get much sleep because I'm worried about the interview for him and my kids.. our CC was May 17.. he's an IR 1.. we've been married 14 years this August 16.. Our PD IS MAY 25th.. I'm not sure that the PD EVEN MAtters with him being an IR 1.. sorry fir tmi but I'm.just bummed today

Check on CEAC case status to see if your case is in transit and after it shows ready, you should get that interview email.

Create an account on ais.usvisa-info.com and enter your case details, you will be notified when the interview is scheduled.

Read about how expedite interviews are scheduled in Brazil, for example in Mexico, expedited folks schedule their own interview on ais.usvisa-info.com as soon as ceac changes to Ready.

    Awesome! Thanks for the info.

Yeah I checked CEAC and it shows that it’s on “transit”. As soon as it changes to “ready” I will register and schedule my own interview.

Oh yes! I remember. That's awesome. My husband is from Barranquilla.

I found the appointment page for you Brazil.

    https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-br/niv

So as soon as your status say " Ready". Register your account and choose an appt. The email you get from the Embassy will just provide you with the same instructions.

Choose option - recieved email/ letter to schedule appointment.

And then after registration. Click the + and select. - I need to register for appointment

After you are have your appointment you can go back in and expedite that date as well if it's still too far out for you.

    Good luck.

You are awesome!! THANK YOU so much! So cool your husband is from Barranquilla!

When you say "you can go back in and expedite that date if it's too far out", do you mean sending an email straight to the consulate asking for an earlier/expedite date?

Mine was expedited for Colombia and went from in transit to ready the next day

Awesome! Love Colombia! Not sure if I mentioned, I was born there (Barranquilla) to very mixed parents. Mom Italian and father Colombian/Lebanese. I grew up in Seattle since I was a little kid and now married to a Colombian which now I am bringing home with me from Brazil. We both currently live in Brazil due to his job (now they are transferring him to Miami). Glad his company is paying all the lawyers, immigration fees!

They will send it to all emails provided. Also it's important to note that most expedites only allows YOU to schedule your own appointment with the Embassy vs waiting for NVC schedule. So once your status change from "in transit" to "ready" you can go to your Embassy specific website and register to schedule your appointment

    Awesome, thank you!

Does it takes a long time to go from “transit” to “ready”?

Seems like the consulate in Rio de Janeiro moves fairly quickly as they received my expedite request last Friday and was approved early today.

  7. For those that had gotten their request expedited with the embassy/consulate, does the embassy/consulate sends all the emails to all the emails provided to the NVC?

Our previous communication emails from the NVC were sent to all of us (petitioner, beneficiary and attorney). So not sure if the embassy/consulate will do the same or just maybe email to the beneficiary only?

We are now waiting for communication from the consulate to schedule the interview, so want to know which email they will sent it to.

DONT upload anything, just wait it wont take 6 weeks. you might hear something sooner if not today sometimes next week. just wait for them to review it.

now if you upload anything sorry you will wait for 3 weeks again for review. if everything is accepted it leave it and DONT UPLOAD anything. read the caps.

I totally agree with nyokie! Don’t upload anything and just wait. I know the wait is a killer but I am pretty sure it won’t take 6 weeks for a supervisor to review it and give you CC.

how long did it take you to get a response?

    Curious minds want to know.

I sent the expedite request email on May 21st. On May 24th I got an email from the NVC saying it was under review and that it was forwarded to the consulate in Rio on the 24th of May. Today a week later I got the great news of expedite approval.

Man wished we had done this long ago!

I just received the email below. We got CC May 21st and were waiting for the interview date. We never got an interview date but now just received this email. Anybody knows why?

Also, we did asked for our case to get expedited (the day before we got CC) because I am in the US Air Force Reserve and need to move back to the US with my spouse as soon as possible. To this date we only got a notice last Friday saying that is under review.

Does this email means that our expedite got approved?

Currently on hold with the NVC.....

UPDATE: spoke to a really nice rep that told me to ignore the email as it was a glitch that happens frequently. She also checked on the expedite request and confirmed that is still under review and that it was forwarded to the consulate in Rio last Friday and now they are waiting for them to respond.

I guess we just need to keep waiting.....

remember some people have different days to get review and different weeks to get review.so try to remember our 2-3 weeks mark and if 3 weeks and a day pass call NVC.

remember to keep that in mind every one submitted or resubmitted  different days and weeks.

You don’t even have to wait for 3 weeks and a day to escalate it to a supervisor. I called exactly on my 3 week (didn’t have to wait an extra day after the 3 week) and was escalated right away and as mentioned I got CC 2 days later after that call.
