also NVC does not have any information...still can't get in, but I'm glad @Sea Leslie was able to get access hopefully it means the rest of us will be able to get in soon. 

Nope, it shouldn't cost you your visa. At your interview make sure to let the officer know of the mistake, you'll have your passport there with the correct date.

Hey! Congrats! My case was received on the 25th and I got the case number yesterday, so one week. However, there are some individuals on here who are getting case numbers really fast, like within 3 days. So maybe start calling on Tuesday and then every day after that until you get it. 
 
On the days I called at exactly 9am EST I got through to a person within 5 minutes. Yesterday I called them at around 11am EST and it took me over 45 minutes to get through.

I did it for birth and marriage certificates!  I stated that I was able to translate from Spanish to English and I dated it.  I also notarized it with my signature.  It was accepted no problems.

The evidence standard is a legible photocopy.  There is only one documemnt that requires a "wet" signature and that is the signature of the petitioner on the I-129F form itself

My understanding is that all I-129f petitions are processed in California...and that special cases get sent to Vermont [but I could be wrong about Vermont].

Was he already 18 when you met? I recall a case on here where there was a significant age gap (where the USC was as old as the beneficiary’s mother) and they had a problem because they met before the beneficiary turned 18. I don’t think there would be an issue with a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old (it falls under “Romeo and Juliet” laws) but with a gap of 25 years you might have an issue if he was a minor when you met - regardless of the consent laws in the place where you met.
