I don't think so but I'm not sure. My husband ordered his birth certificate on borger.dk and I don't think it gave a short form/long form option, just language options (so he ordered it with Danish & English text on one document)

Hi guys, long time no see. Whoa, this journey has been such a rollercoaster. The K1 process was incredibly easy and painless, but ever since I came to the US, there have been so many downs. My husband insisted we use a lawyer for our AOS even though I was confident we were able to do it ourselves. The first lawyer, we had to fire and fight to get our money back, so because of that, we were set back at least a couple of months. We finally submitted our paperwork with our "old lawyer" (who is really expensive but did our K1 perfectly) and got a receipt in the beginning of July. Today we just got an RFE that makes absolutely no sense. First point is that my husband doesn't make enough to support me and the household size. My husband made 55.000 last year, so even including the people that we live with (his brother, his wife and son) it would still be enough. We included all tax returns and W-2s for the past three years. Next point is that my proof of birth is insufficient. I went to the priest who baptised me and got the document named "baptism and birth certificate". It has my full name, date and place of birth and parents' names. It has the English translation next to the Danish text and it's signed with a signature and stamp. It has little watermarks in the paper itself. I don't even know if any other forms of documents exist in Denmark and both this and the same affidavit of support was used in my K1 application with no problems or RFEs.  
The last point is that the affidavit of support was "not from the petitioning sponsor". What does that even mean? Everything was signed with my husband's name and information. 
I just don't understand what's going on, I'm actually scared. I'm just sitting here, not being able to work, not being able to drive anywhere, and now everything is put on hold. And ever since moving here, my aunt came down with a serious case of meningitis and my grandma has cancer, so needless to say I'm not in the best place. This just adds to the pile of stress I have on my shoulders.

@JosephineAndBobby and @Scandi thank you for your replies. I was talking to my fiance trying to decide if we should contact the embassy and his neighbor called to let him know that a package had arrived for him in the neighbor's mailbox and it was the visa!! Crazy and scary that it was delivered to the wrong place, but thankful that we finally have it in hand. 

Visa on hand! Amazed at how fast that happened. Now to wait until June until I can fly to the US 🙂

Oh! That’s excellent to know, thank you  We were unsure, because the times he has travelled to other EU countries he has only been going by land (other than when he transfers flights in the EU to get to America when he has his passport with him anyways) so we didn’t know how he would get back without his passport. This puts us so much more at ease for when the time comes!

Hi! My husband and I are still a while off from his interview (still waiting on NOA2), but how did you /your fiance travel back to Denmark without the passport? My husband lives in Jutland so it's a little far to drive or take a train all the way from Stockholm.. 😅 Congrats on the approvals!

Neil put everything they asked for in one envelope, with the cover letter (list), to hand to them. Everything else, he kept in a folder, with tabbed pockets, in case they asked for something. He labeled the tabs: Income, Proof of Relationship, etc. In the Proof section, he had a sampling of chat logs, receipts for gifts we've sent each other, copies of emails of my communication with the township about our wedding, other emails we had sent each other, and screenshots of us together on a couple of our Google Earth dates.  They asked for none of that but, at least, he felt prepared in case they did. They did ask Neil if I owned my house and he was able to pull out the deed to show them along with the document stating that the mortgage had been paid in full. I had included these in the things I sent him, because my income is above the 125%, but not by much. I wanted to prove that my expenses are relatively low and I have no debt. They were impressed by the way he had everything so organized and was able to produce those papers immediately. My advice is to take with you everything you can think of, just in case. Neil did spend some time, later, shredding the papers he didn't need, but we're glad he had them with him. 

Did Neil take any proof of ongoing relationship in to the interview? I don't want to overload the people at the consulate with unnecessary things. At the moment I have what they've asked for, but nothing extra.

ISSUED!!! Our status has changed to issued!!! 

Today is a big day for some as your case file may ship out to your embassy. Check CEAC for updated progress and look for "in transit"!! If that shows you are on your way. Also, for those who want to have a little fun in tracking your shipment see the DHL hack on the first page of this thread in the first post. Scroll down about 3/4 of the way for instructions. The information will not be available till Wednesday as the DHL and NVC computers have to be sync with each other to produce the outcome.
 
You have three stages 1) transit - shipment is in the air or soon will be, 2) received - physical case file is at the Embassy and 3) ready - your case is ready to schedule and complete your interview.  These will be your current state or status to your case file once you have received the case number. Good luck.

After suggesting it to the admins, there's now an option to add in reviews of your medical exams/appointments when you review your embassy/consulate experience  I'd hope that everyone here that has recently done their medical will be doing this for all those anxious about it! I know that being able to read reviews of others that did the medical in my area would have really helped to put my mind ease before the appointment.

So Kate just had her interview in Kiev. Got approved.   Will update my timeline and provide details about the interview in my timeline. 

I know she believes his family doesn't know, i wouldn't trust them either. Usually the family goes along with the "plan" so to speak. If i were her, i wouldn't contact them at all, they may tip him off before she can confront him.

Got P3 from Stockholm embassy today and interview booked for April 25t! Results of medical was also just sent off today! Wuhuu
