You have to hear a short ring after you’ve dialed and then the operator would list instructions if you don’t hear that short ring and instead hear the operator one time, hang up and try again until you get the ring

Same here, we submitted documents last Friday evening, they were all accepted on Tuesday morning but a few others were requested, submitted the same day and DQ next morning.
 
That was a nice surprise, I was expecting weeks of waiting.

Still waiting for the NVC.
I got my USCIS NOA2 on the 26th of September. (Texas)
My application got sent to NVC on the 9th of October
 
My friend's got sent 7 days prior and just heard from them today. 
So Im positive to hear from them next week or the week after.

We received our NOA2 in the mail on 9/28.  Approval date was 9/24/19.  Even though I requested e-notifications, I haven't received an email or text message.  The my.uscis site updated to Approved this morning. Yay!

I wanted to get a jump start on completing the I-864, but it looks like I'll have to wait until the new form is released on 10/15.

No text message. No mail yet but probably will get next week)

Just to add:
Ask them when you case was received so you have a actual date to work with. Website: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/after-petition-approved/begin-nat-visa-center.html. If you scroll to the middle of the page you will see a bluish table and it will state what date they are currently working on. Keep in mind this website only gets updated every Monday afternoon.

Hi all! We were approved on 09/17 and today my husband received the letter in the mail.
No emails or update on egov/case tracker.
We did not file for a k3 or expedite.
So happy 🎈🎈🎈 the waiting continues...

We got an email and online update. I wonder how long it takes from that update to the day they actually create a case number.

Actually I did actually make a phone call and found out they received it September 10. NVC customer service rep told me that they wont notify us on when they receive our case from USCIS since its not value added and they will much better work on cases than sending notification letters. With that said the man i spoke to mention that they will only sent out a notice when they are ready to work on the case. 
He also mentioned for me to look at the website travel.state.gov and states what cases date received that they are working on. I got my notice that my case was being sent to NVC which is 2 weeks received (September 10th). A ask if they can provide me a case number and the customer service rep said it will take 3 more weeks. Also to add that rep seemed annoyed that I inquired about this and he said not to waste my time calling and waiting on the phone for hours instead check the website every Monday afternoon.

We sent in a K3 I129f petition on July 31 and after 50 days we got the I129f denied and the I130 approved, the I129f denial came through email and egov.uscis and I130 approval through calling USCIS

Notably, the online case status still shows "received," (Not updated.)  And I did not get an e-mail either.

This is a regular CR1.

Woke up to an email saying an action was taken on our case. I checked the my.uscis.gov website and we were approved🙏🏽🙌🏽
Not showing in case tracker app nor egov.usics.gov website

Side note: We did file a k3 out of curiosity in July (PD 07/12/2019) but that still shows ‘case received’. I don’t know if it had any impact as they are working on March filers currently anyway.

My name is Dale.  Obviously from New Zealand.  I met my partner, Darin almost 12 years ago online.  Like every love story ever told we became great friends, lived thru ups and downs in life thru our friendship.  We both knew we had something special but just like the movies ignored it until a year ago.  I went to the US this past Feb to meet my best friend and the love of my life and here we are....that crazy man proposed (on my bday)!  Trust me there is a romantic comedy movie in that.  
 
Anyway I'm really glad I found this site. I love hearing people's stories and all the support is amazing.  Hope I get to chat with some of you, stop by and say hi  

I’m 225 days today it’s heartbreaking to see persons who filed after is moving ahead . Come on Texas , approve the January filers . 

That has not been the case until just very recently........That's why I think there is at least one rogue adjudicator in Nebraska....and it is blatantly unfair to the I-130 filers who have been waiting for months longer.......just my opinion.
