Look into flying out of Chicago, even if you need to take a domestic flight from MN to get there, there are much more 1 stop flights to Cebu from Chicago than there would be from MN and should also be cheaper.

Check your visa for the annotation for the IV documents in CCD 212(g)(2)(B) if so your case is all electronic and you don't need anything other than your visa and passport. If so you're all set and congratulations.

suss6052 got a reaction from Falcon Cara in Does EVA Air include travel tax in ticket price?
It seems that way in that even if I'm logged into my delta skymiles account and look at booking a one way or RT from say Cebu to Detroit it will apply the Philippine travel tax to the ticket even if I'm based in the USA and doesn't seem to make it obvious that it is not required for non filipinos.  Where as the round trip booked from the USA doesn't list this as a charge.

Nope, it's not too little time, as everyone else said the medical results are hand carried by the patient unless they are under Sputum examinations for 2 months or direct observational therapy at SLEC for 6 months after that due to previously undiagnosed or improperly treated TB. Giving your fiancee at least 24 hrs between the medical and interview is prudent in case the embassy needs to be notified of cancellation due to issues with the medical in order to reschedule the appointment.

In an ideal world where nothing goes wrong the medical exam can be started in Manila just over three days before the interview, but to me it would be best to start about 4 days before so that there is that 24 hr buffer if needed to notify the embassy.

Yes all us citizens are required to file tax returns globally and are taxed on their income no matter where it comes from.

Foreign income up to a certain level is not taxable, however being a US citizen means being responsible for filing the returns anyway.

I've never been to Tokyo in any shape or form, but people are saying Haneda is closer to the city proper than Narita is making it more convenient to some if that's their final destination. It hasn't been announced officially, but by shifting some of the frequencies that used to fly to Narita and adding new ones in time for the 2020 Olympics when they were awarded nearly all of their new daytime slot requests for Haneda it sure seems like they are working on moving out of Narita entirely, as without the incoming flights from the states the flights from Narita to Singapore and Manila are likely to be canceled. It seems like they are leaving the former Northwest Airlines hub and trying to move to the other air port.

Delta has been flying to Incheon for quite some time from other airports (e.x. DTW) for several years now with the A350-900, however the flight to Cebu is on Korean Air their joint venture partner, KE631 to Cebu KE632 from Cebu to Incheon.

Delta is likely about to stop flying into Manila from Tokyo however as they are trying to move to Haneda instead of Narita.

The 01 at the end means it's the first and or only case under that MNL number.

Derivative applications such as a child petition would be an 02, 03 etc.

My wife's interview went well, and the consul said she was approved on the spot. I know that only meant they recommended the visa for issuance, but it was a good sign on Monday May 20th, which was Sunday night here and when I checked the status before going to bed CEAC said the case was still ready but reviewed 5/20/19.

I woke up in the morning and checked it again and the status was already issued on CEAC. It has remained at issued status since then even being updated today, 5/22/19.

We had previously registered an account with usatraveldocs for the Philippines and selected the pick up location that she liked for pick up before the interview, I had re-confirmed it right afterwards on the same day of the interview there (before midnight on the day of the interview which is what they say is the last chance to make any changes).

I know they say it's typically released in 7-10 business (working days), however I would like to know when it's possible to track it. Nothing shows up in 2Go's track and trace under the UID, case ID, or Passport number, and nothing shows up in the document delivery section for USA traveldocs or http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-passportretrieve.asp for her passport number yet though in fairness it has only been 3 full business days since the interview, maybe that's too soon, but we were excited because it was issued so much quicker than a lot of cases we've heard about.

I already know we're in the home stretch with the distance about to be closed, and I am just trying to see if we'll have a better estimate of where the visa is before June 4th which is 10 business days from the 20th less the holiday next monday.

I also know not to buy the plane tickets yet until her visa is in hand and checked for accuracy, but the CFO is completed already less the sticker, so that's not something we have to worry about now, etc.

That's just a standard form warning for the site you can ignore that part. Under the new application/ schedule appointment follow the process to register a delivery address only for CR1 or the correct visa class, etc.

Ok, noted. Just listing the next steps, not the rate of execution there of. I.e. 1. Pick up Visa 2. Check for errors 3. CFO sticker (already attended the GCP to get her passport in her married name last year) 4. book tickets .... etc.

In regards to the luggage, in Seoul no as you only go through transfer security there, but in Atlanta yes, she would need to pick up the luggage after immigration having been dropped off land side, hand the bag back to the transfer bag drop and then go through TSA screening to catch the domestic flight.

Paying the immigrant fee is one of the triggers for the card to be produced, but it isn't going to be produced until after she enters the USA. I.e. you can pay the fee before or after she arrives in the country, but no card is issued until she's already in the USA.

The green card isn't produced until paid for, and the visa is used at the border for admission into the USA. The visa is valid for up to 6 months from the medical date. If the concern is about remaining in Canada until the end of the year october-january is within 6 months, or you can delay things at the NVC phase to drag the process into the new year.

The return transcript is the same document if it's downloaded from the IRS site, or scanned from a printed copy which was also originally downloaded from the same servers. It does not matter the source, and the person who filed the return and requested the transcript is allowed to make copies for their use.

The funds have to be issued from a US bank or paid with a US credit card. If you have a card based on a US bank then it would be possible, otherwise no you will need to find another way.

You just have to keep calling, I had called right back after getting the high volume of calls one that auto hung up and then it put me into the automated system to try and contact them, however if it hasn't been 8 weeks since they received the case it's unlikely that there will be a status update yet, in my experience for a CR1 case for my wife.

Per the USCIS it's in the 90 days before your conditional residency expires. Which should be two years after your arrival into the USA.

It would have been better if it was fixed at the Local Civil Registrar before it was sent off for encoding and sending it to the PSA. According to my wife for example on her uncle's birth certificate it took 9 months to be fixed.

    https://psa.gov.ph/civilregistration/problems-and-solutions/wrong-spelling-name-bride-andor-groom

So you may have to submit it as is for now if you have a PSA copy and wait on the corrected one for the embassy in 9-12 months.

Setting an interview for December is fine as long as it's not around Christmas or New Years Eve.

It's country and case dependent as to if the visa will be approved and ready within days or months if they fall into extended administrative processing timing or if everything is approved right away.
