Q2018 reacted to jasper383 in Case status in SAVE database question
It didn't say whether it was for "Manual verification". It only said it was being returned to “SAVE has returned your case to Maryland-Social Security administration, SSA (Single Signon)”. Under the “what do I do next section” it stated, “Please contact Maryland – Social security administration to get more information about your case status".
I didn't get a chance to contact Maryland because a letter showed up in the mail the very next day stating we would have SS card within 2 weeks. After that letter, we got the card in a couple days I think. Whole process was close to 5 weeks. Seems like it can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks for most people to get their cards.
I'd guess if you got the same message in SAVE database, you will get your card soon too.

Here you go, from the horse's mouth. There are numerous tips on package assembly, but I think this is the one you were asking about specifically.
In preparing your packet, please take note of the following: Do not use binders or folders that cannot be easily disassembled. Use ACCO fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated. The use of tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. The tabs should be placed on the bottom and not the side for ease in filing. Avoid using heavy-duty staples; instead use ACCO fasteners or heavy clips. Avoid submitting originals unless specifically required. Avoid submitting oversized documentation when possible. http://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-and-fees/general-tips-assembling-applications-mailing

The USCIS mailroom staff who open the submissions will throw your binder away and will arrange your materials in the order that suits USCIS.
Just binder-clip everything, with paper clips or smaller binder clips to organize similar material.
On the outside of the envelope in which you mail everything to USCIS, visibly put "ORIGINAL I-485". If you're including the packages for EAD & AP, also put "ORIGINAL I-765" and "ORIGINAL I-131". This is not necessary, but the mailroom staff might appreciate it.
I really sweated the sending of the I-129F petition, as so many here do. I became less concerned as the journey proceeded. By Naturalization time, I mailed the citizenship stuff just regular first-class, with a one-line cover letter: "Attached is the original N-400 for [wife], [A#]."

It's outlined in the instructions for both the I765 and the I131.

    I765:
    -g 1145
    - cover letter
    - copy of passport bio page
    - copy of k1 visa from passport
    - 1 797 NOA2 from I 129F (NOT NOA1)
    - electronic I 94
    - PHOTOCOPY FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS of certified copy of marriage certificate
    - two passport style photos attached to paper and placed in a bag

    I131:
    -g 1145
    - cover letter
    - copy of passport bio page
    - copy of k1 visa from passport
    - 1 797 NOA2 from I 129F (NOT NOA1)
    - electronic I 94
    - PHOTOCOPY FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS of certified copy of marriage certificate

The seperate forms of the AOS packet are not processed by the same adjudicator. They each need their own set of forms. You are submitting three seperate packets in one package.

Just make sure you send separate documents with the EAD/AP. We sent it all together but I included their own cover sheet, copy of my husband's k1. i94, NOA, and marriage certificate. Someone put they've never heard of that. Well I hadn't either until I posted the same thing you did and someone told me then. Even though they can be filed together they will get separated. We never got any RFE and were approved for the EAD/AP. Still awaiting interview for GC. Good luck!

...Oh and the passport style photos for each applications so should be six total!

Include a Copy of I-797 - Notice of Action, a copy of the I-94, and a copy of your passport's biographical page with the I-485 as well. As someone mentioned before, it is better to make sure each document package can stand on its own.

For the I-864, you should also include a copy of sponsor's passport biographical page (and/or birth certificate), employment letter, W-2, and a couple of the recent pay stubs.

You mentioned an old EAD for OPT. They ask for a copy of the old EAD card for the I-765, but it is not a big deal if you don't have it.

For the I-131, you will need the same supporting documents as the I-765, plus another copy of the I-797 for the I-129F. Also include two passport photos for this form as well. You do not need a supplement for part 7, and you can leave empty and/or leave empty where it asks for the travel dates.

    Good luck!

Agreed, since the petitioner and beneficiary will have included a lot of evidence in order to get the K-1. I know of two people in real life adjusting from K-1 who added a few wedding photos, their new rental lease, driver's licenses with the same address, proof that the K-1 spouse had been added to USC's employer-provided benefits, etc. These couples weren't called in for a AOS interview (granted, that could be for various reasons, and not just because they submitted additional information). A lot of additional evidence isn't necessary for the K1 --> I-485 but some can't hurt.

Just send a certified copy of your marriage license if you can so you don't have to take a chance of getting a RFE.

since you are filing AOS from K-1....You do not need to overload the package with pictures...etc.

For the vaccination record, just send in a copy of your DS-3025 will be fine, just make sure on the DS-3025 the bottom it says "COMPLETE"

For the tax returns...Only 2016 will be fine.

    Good Luck!

Wow, I am able to see our case online! It shows they received a request from Social Security Administration. I used this link though: https://www.uscis.gov/save/casecheck . The link you provided just had a log in but it doesn't say how I can create an account. If there's some other place to check, please share!

That sucks! You might have tried this already but I have read that going to the office will be better than just calling. I also am able to see my SAVE case progress with the link I shared above. I just picked a Document ID that I had and it worked.

I’m out of the interview with questions answered:)
so the advance parole and AP is valid until the status changes to approved. After that, you’re officially a resident and don’t need your AP even if you haven’t received the card in hand yet (you’re approved and it’s underway).
as far as traveling, if by the time you live the country the status changes to approved but you don’t have a card in hand, they said to set up infopass and get passport stamped. If it doesn’t change to approved yet, AP card is valid for traveling.

EAD/AP is cancelled until the GC is approved.
If you're approved right after the interview, you can ask for an I-551 stamp on your passport -that serves as proof of residence-.
The card arrives in around 7-9 days after approval.

Mine also said "Case Returned to Agency". I printed a copy of the page and went back to the SSA office to let them know. They looked at my original receipt from SSA to look us up. They cleared our application for processing and said we'll receive the SSN in 2 weeks. So if it comes in 2 weeks, total wait time will be 3 weeks.

Im not trying to argumentative but only to use our conversation as informational for others who are following along. Of course you're still have your right to do as you please.

The passport doesn't need to be renewed with the married name as you can still travel and present your marriage certificate as proof of you legal right to the names you are or have used. People do it all the time without incident.

Drivers license is a little trickier if you are the USC then yes you'll have a fee abt $30 for another 8 to 10 years.  You have to update it on the anniversary so pay them now for a name change or pay them upon expiration. So far we have only identified one fee when changing your name and you pay that fee eventually. It comes down to personal choice.

    All the best to you.

Yes. Data is transferred to the SAVE system almost instantly nowadays. I still say wait a couple days just in case, but most people should show up within 24 hours.

So for the AOS package all you have to prove are you are married therefore the marriage certificate.

For the I-864 you have to prove you can support her with income over the poverty guideline. You will put in evidence of income. Tax returns, pay stub and so on.

That's it on more is needed.

I dont believe CBP issues paper I94s anymore but the reason they say front and back of it is because some ppl are applying for AOS after 10 years of being in the US. Those ppl would have a paper I94 so they would photocopy front and back.
As you are a recent entry you would simply print your electronic I94. It does not have a back and they recognize that.

    Q2018 reacted to D&D_NYC in I-94 Arrival-Departure Record for Form I-485 and Form I-765
I filed my AoS (from TN Status) a few days ago, and provided a photocopy of the front and back of the paper I-94 I received at the border since my employer's name is listed on the back of the sheet, along with a printout of the full electronic I-94. The electronic one reflects entries on my previous paper I-94 and from my previous passport, so I figured it was worthwhile to be comprehensive. Also, I had to provide the paper copy specifically because I needed to provide evidence of lawful entry and continued lawful presence in the US.
