    4-7 months I believe.

The average reported by VJ users is 193 days ( see https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/eadstats.php?cfl= )

I believe the range reported for AOS-related EADs on the USCIS processing times page is 3.5-5.5 months, but that site is down as of when I'm writing.
  3. Thanks

Take that statement literally. You need work authorization.

Only the SS cards with no such statement can be used as work authorization.
  4. Thanks
chellie reacted to geowrian in Work Permit??
The EAD (or a green card) is the evidence of authorization to work. The SSN alone does not grant authorization to work, nor does it meet I-9 requirements.
  5. Thanks

A Social Security card, in itself, is not authority to work in the US.  You will need an EAD, Green Card, etc.., which authorizes you to work.

Pan Pacific is very nice. I would not stay anywhere else.

If you really want those two papers then have your fiancée scan and email them to you. That way you can print them out in order to keep with you. But overall you only need the paper showing the MNL#.
  8. Thanks
chellie reacted to payxibka in NOA 1 AND NOA 2
Absolutely not.  Go to the Manila website and look at step 5.  Those are the required documents.

they usually don't ask..just bring a copy of the letter of intent that you sent in your petition, it is fine..but they don't ask for it.
  11. Thanks
chellie reacted to Ben&Zian in Fiancee Letter of Intent
They asked for ours. We re-did the original version sent in with the I-129f petition, but changed the addressee to the embassy and obviously the date to be current. Always better to go in prepared than end up getting delayed.
  12. Thanks
chellie reacted to geowrian in Fiancee Letter of Intent
They may or may not request it (if the petitioner isn't there at the interview). It can be signed, scanned, and printed...no need for a "wet" signature. It'll take an extra minute of time and avoid a potential delay.
  13. Thanks
chellie reacted to Ben&Zian in Fiancee Letter of Intent
That's all we did. Instead of addressing it to USCIS like the original we changed it to the embassy visa department.

chellie reacted to Ben&Zian in Papers/Requirements to be presented at Manila US Embassy
Nope. It's more for your own records. We didn't keep a copy personally. It's just good to maintain copies for yourself honestly but nothing to do with the embassy or the interview. They have the original they got from NVC.
  15. Thanks
chellie reacted to Ion Paladii in Papers/Requirements to be presented at Manila US Embassy
They  already have his info so unless the websites above ask you for it then you shouldn't need it
  16. Thanks
chellie reacted to payxibka in Papers/Requirements to be presented at Manila US Embassy
You won't receive a package from the embassy,  everything is online.   You only need to print it if you want.
  17. Thanks

I've heard that a renewed signed letter of itnent to marry from your fiance can help! Since it's been  while from when you started the process! Good luck!

Read the above. Start calling the NVC to see if they received your case.

Don’t worry about the expiration date. The Consulate/Embassy has the ability to extend the validity of the petition. In fact, there are some very busy Embassies that they never get to interview anyone before the petition first expiration.
  19. Thanks
chellie reacted to Kowatti in K1- Process
Hi.  I received our case # within 2 weeks.  It varies.  You might want to contact NVC @603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888.  The 0888 # worked out better for me, so you can try that one first.  They are open 7:00 am & probably the best time to call.  It can take several weeks before you hear anything from them.  The K-1 seems to be a little faster & spousal visa takes longer.  Ask if they have received your case & also do they have a case # for you.  Best wishes.
  20. Thanks

Make sure he has his Birth certificate na in order to send it in with the petition and to get his passport asap.

But as for the petition overall the USEM is a low risk embassy in regards to K1 and CR1 petitions. So that means your evidence that you two have met in person is more than enough.
  21. Thanks
chellie reacted to Sukie in Can we still process K1-Visa even he lost his passport
He will have to prove he is a US Citizen - so if he does not have a passport, he will need his birth certificate, or some document that proves his citizenship.  I know a lot of US Citizens do not have passports, but I would think any person in a bi-national relationship would want to have a valid passport if emergency travel for the fiance/e or spouse or child is necessary.

I used it in thd past to check my husbands passport and yes hubby is a US citizen with usa passport and i was able to see his details.

If that fails he can get the information from CBP.

Well no. Your petition will get approved but in order to get a visa you need a passport.
  24. Thanks
chellie reacted to DaveAndAnastasia in Can we still process K1-Visa even he lost his passport
If you (the beneficiary) lost your passport, then you'd need to find or replace it before your interview. If the petitioner did, that's not a problem as far as immigration is concerned since you've already met in person.

He'll probably still want to find it or get it replaced ASAP unless you're okay with not seeing each other again until you can come to the US.
  25. Thanks

You shouldn't worry because that is enough evidence for a K1 visa showing you met in person before. What country is this for?
