The visa won't be available until 7 years or even more , the priority of the F1 visa changed now .

First your wife had passed her interview for issuing her a visa . She have to wait until she get her passport first from the Embassy before deciding to pay for her green card fees. Because inside her passport will be a visa registration number which she will use it to pay her green card fees registration..
And second , if your marriage to your wife is more than two years , she will get 10 years green card but if it's for 1 year , it will be two years in which she have to renew it after that two years to be in title for the 10 years green card.
 

Oh yeah he can be your co-sponsor and get through all the process on your behalf , nothing bad about that.

You need to get it from the bank it self and IRS , tax return transcripts for 1040 and W2.  it doesn't matter whether is the original or not , it only have to be authentic and real .

If you are asked to update your DS-260 , please than do it as you are told , because they want to know if there is any change base on your previous DS-260 information , example , may be your wife had a baby with you now or something just been added in addition into your marriage process which you have to add in the DS-260 before your second interview.

When you finished updating this DS-260 it will automatically send you a confirmation number telling you that your DS-260 was sent direct from the NVC to the US Embassy in Accra . 
 You only need your case number and invoice number to update this DS-260.

Get a join sponsor before going to that interview to prevent any different scenario which also delay your approval in time for your visa .
However , anything is possible , but it's better to always be prepared and alet for any CO scenario.

Please just get a join sponsor in addition with your wife affidavit so to able your financial background to be  stable with the CO not to react negatively on an unexpected scenario.

Please go to your police headquarters where ever you stay , if you are in Oran or Alger or any where in Algeria to demand a police report , let the police know that you are asked to bring it by the US Embassy in Alger's for your travelling visa processing  , they know about it and they will give it to you.

Please continue  on this website searching the appointment date , currently there is no any place for you to book an appointment. Don't be disturbed that is how it is , all the dates are now full for a new interview appointment , until a date is available you can't schedule an appointment.
However , continue everyday go onto that website three times and if there is a date available quickly schedule it before someone take it , because there are a lot of hundreds waiting also like you to schedule their interview appointment date online.
