If your employer offers insurance, then the start date for insurance will depend on the job. Usually either insurance will start immediately with the job or (less commonly) after 30 or 60 days.
 
You do not need a qualifying event to start employer-based insurance with a new job.

Checked our EAD status today and it says "New Card Is Being Produced" !
 
Yay : )  Been checking it every day and finally got some good news.

Bizarre, my case status changed to case approved a day after a new card is being produced today!! 

Guys! I'm freaking out cause I'm so happy! I was feeling very impatient and little down cause didn't receive any update on my green card while knowing others do day after the interview. So without expecting any news I talked to representative on emma chat and found out my card was mailed to me on 11/01 and after checking the tracking number they provided it turns out I'll have the green card in my hands tomorrow! 😁😁

Update: after refreshing the page it said usps tried to deliver and left the notice. They didn't so I had to reschedule delivery for tomorrow. Still good.

lol thats pretty much what old site did for me until the card shipped.  I wish USCIS would pick a lane.

New site never worked for me! My status there still says case received even though i got my green card already!

Now that I am married legally I am using my previous last name as my middle name because that last name is soo pretty and reminds me of my dad, so I left it and my marriage name is my last name  

Fun fact: marriage name is my 4th last name. 😅

So 28 days after the intwerview we finally received status update! I guess my greencard is about to arrive??
This is the only update we received. No "case approved" or "new card is being produced",  just the one that says it was picked by the postal service.
The whole process took us 5 month almost. USCIS is doing quite good this year.

So I was waiting to see what to update you with, but there is not much to share. We had our interview a week ago and since then there was no status update or anything. It still says "Interview Was Scheduled".
I just don't get why some people get approved right away and some people have to wait for something, even though its all pretty clear.
 
Forgot to mention that we got our EAD card already.

Did the officer tell you anything about it? 
I guess you just go through background check which is pretty common and sometimes it takes time. Hope you’ll see update soon!

Got an EAD update today. Wasn't realy expecting any, since we have a green card interview this Thursday.
Do you know how long it will take for the card to actually arrive in mail?
