Ani2 got a reaction from AnotherLove in I-751 Ready to be scheduled for an interview
Hi Everyone,
My I-751 status got changed into “Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” since June. Also my field office is very busy so I am sure my interview won’t get scheduled anytime soon. I planned to travel internationally to visit my dad in the end of this month for 10 days. I am just a little concerned if I am safe to travel and come back if my status doesn’t change. If anyone was in this situation, please share your experience.
Thank you

Even with a decision abroad, OP is safe to travel. Worse case scenario they stamp her boarding pass with SSSS and she'll have to go through extra security. It just happened to me.

If there is no decision while abroad, you are safe to travel.

Tons of people are in your same situation.
As long as your extension letter is valid and you have the expired green card you are good to go

I would then submit the affidavits from friends and family like @OldUser said. The longer they have known you the better. Also, FYI, in our case, we got them notarized. In your case, it might be worth getting them notarized.

Actually, the letter that I received from USCIS mentioned all options that I have to prove a bona fide marriage, and one of the options are Affidavits.

FYI immigration is federal, so your lawyer doesn't need to be in your state.

Think about every single monthly bill that you had - electricity, gas, phone, internet, cable, car insurance. Most places you can log into your online account and review, download and print past statements. Do it for everything that you can, assuming either you or your ex still have those accounts. Even if you don't still have those specific accounts maybe a call to or more likely a personal visit to the payment office for each can probably get you copies once you tell them the urgent reason to get them after the fact. Make sure you take identification with you. This will take some legwork on your part but your ROC depends on it. You can't just say " I sent everything I had". They have already said it is not enough with the RFE. It is on you now to find more evidence.

All down to him to apply and see if he approved.

Your status is irrelevant to his B2 application.

Ani2 reacted to HarryWL in I751 with divorce waiver
Just a heads up, I needed the decree and the divorce petition. Both can be obtained via the clerk of court

Yeah. They asked me how many certified copies do I need, so I got two.

Ani2 got a reaction from Tanambera in Where to send divorce decree and waiver request/ I-751 pending
Hi. I had the same situation. Me and my ex got divorced after we filled joint I751. I sent a request letter to USCIS, saying that we got divorced and to request to change my case to a divorce waiver. I also sent a copy of my NOA1 and the divorce decree. They received my mail a month ago. Still no answer. My status on website is the same.

Ani2 reacted to Just Paul in Traveling with the extension letter
That is the whole purpose of the Extension Letter. Make sure you keep the trip quick incase your end up scheduled for something.
Hopefully nothing gets scheduled and you can take care of your family.

I don't see why that would be an issue, you need to prove you enter into the marriage in good faith and you were a bonafide couple up to the legal separation and devorce. You being roommates with your ex spouse should not be an issue.
