seganku got a reaction from Chancy in Naturalization Ceremony - San Diego - Cabrillo National Monument
As a much belated follow-up, the ceremony was still a drive up ceremony.  There were two long lines of cars, and they'd take five cars from each line, have the people step out and walk up to a flag and do their oath there in the road.  Take some pictures, back into cars, and off we go.  Family parked nearby and walked over for the brief ceremony.

They do have a very small auditorium, which might hold 60-70 people.  I think it is in the same building as the museum.

Got a reply on Facebook.  It is usually outside, but moves indoors for rain ... which we have had an unusual mount of this year.

    Thanks!

I see your timeline is not completed.
Completing your timeline and posting in the right forum will help you get a better milleage.
And no, the backlog is so big that even if they kept their promise to speed up, it’s still going to take years to go back to normal (whatever “normal” is for DHS and USCIS).
Again, for feedback, you’re going to be better off completing your timeline and telling us which embassy you’re dealing with.

If you are CLAIMING more than a taxable amount of income ("My husband collects $?,454.00 each month for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). ") to the USCIS, while telling them you haven't filed tax returns, yes, that could be problematic.

However, the problem may simply lie with showing evidence for the income you are receiving. You could simply fill out a tax return showing the $0 tax - if this is the case, you are NOT required to submit the return to the IRS, but can submit this to USCIS.

Don't bring trouble by providing info more than what is needed. Remember the saying, "you have the right to remain silent, anything said could be used against you".
That monthly allowance could literally be construed as an income which may require one to file the tax return.

Working as a homemaker = job. Do you mean stay home as a housewife? Mention appropriately.

Just explain in a simple sentence why she isn't required to file the tax return.

An online search for the USCIS definition of military training gives results that state:
Military-type training is defined to include "training in means or methods that can cause death or serious bodily injury, destroy or damage property, or
disrupt services to critical infrastructure, or training on the use, storage,
production, or assembly of any explosive, firearm or other weapon, including
    any weapon of mass destruction." 18 U.S.C. § 2339D(c)(l)

I would recommend that you send her a copy of your marriage certificate - it may help when exiting China, especially with the airline clerks.

The green card is, in effect, a valid visa, but they will need to know that they are the same person.

    Hello,
About the birth certification and Non-criminal certification , they were requested to hand in 1 piece of each original(not copy)when in K1 Interview, the document handed in would not be given back to interviewee. As  we considered the birth certification doc. would be requested in application for status changed, and the birth certification doesn't have expire validity, we prepare 3 pieces of it. so when we were in K1 ,We prepared 1piece Non-criminal certification,  and 3pcs Birth certification.
We applied status changed already, when we applied it,  we sent the copy of birth certification as it not got request for original.
Above is our process for your reference.

seganku reacted to TBoneTX in CBP at TSA Airport Checkpoints: Why They're There & How Best to Handle
People here often post questions about flying domestically when they're at various beginning stages of the immigration process. Answers vary from "carry your complete current documentation with you" to "you will have no problems."

Customs & Border Protection agents sometimes hang out at the TSA airport checkpoints. In August 2015, I flew out of a border-area airport in south Texas and took the opportunity to query the CBP agents at the TSA checkpoint.

T-B.: When you hang out at the TSA checkpoints, are you checking that
    foreign travelers are in status?
    CBP: Exactly.
    T-B.: For example, what if a K-1 entrant's I-94 is expired?
CBP: We have all kinds of ways of checking their status.
T-B.: Would it help if they have their marriage certificate with them?
    CBP: Absolutely.
T-B.: If they've applied for AOS and have their I-797 or at least a copy of their
cover-letter for their I-485, does it help?
CBP: Absolutely anything that they can provide will help a lot, and will speed things up.
T-B.: Why are you at some airports and not others?
CBP: We're at border airports and others that are ports of entry. We're not at all of them.
T-B.: But it still makes sense for legal immigrants to carry their current documentation?
CBP: Absolutely. It helps them and it helps us. It speeds things up a lot.
T-B.: I'll pass this along. Thank you.

This confirms that it makes sense to carry your most recent documentation with you until you have your green card.

I first had Mrs. T-B. carry her marriage certificate (MC) and passport with valid I-94.
Then, she carried her MC, passport, and copy of her cover-letter for AOS/EAD/AP.
Then, she carried her MC, passport, and her NOA1 (I-797) for AOS.
Then, she carried her MC, passport, and AP.
Then, she carried her first green card (= the law).
Then, she carried that green card and her cover-letter for ROC.
Then, she carried that green card and her NOA1 for ROC.
Then, she carried her 10-year green card until she became a naturalized citizen (= the law).

These documents came in handy at various stages, including at a Texas/Mexico land-crossing POE, a couple of airports, and especially inland CBP checkpoints while driving. At these last, the CBP agents are typically in poor humor and are looking to nail someone. For example, if you're not carrying your green card, they'll detain you for as long as it takes to verify that you're who you say you are.

The above is presented in hopes that it will help others.

Well I am not sure how many of you are still around coming back to our May thread but for those that do check in my fiancee had her interview July 11, 2019 result 221g (easy fix). I have written a lengthy after action report on this interview if any of you care to read it as I did not want to post it twice. Its located in the Philippines sub forum titled Interview Review. Seems we are closer now than ever before of finishing this portion of the journey. I will of course post here again once the Visa is on hand which should not be too long, but again with my experiences and luck it could be another 430 days!!!!!!!! Sarge out!!!!
