    Dear May fillers,

Thanks to God, my petition was approved on 25th of March 2019. I checked through USCIS new website, the old website still says the case was received on May 16. I hope everyone gets approved ASAP. Best of luck.

You can't pay the fees until you get the case number. You can pay them as soon as you do. When I got the case number in my email, I immediately logged on to CEAC (well it took about 5-7 mins to allow me to log in, I guess since the case was just freshly created at the NVC) and I paid the first fee (AOS) $120. You must pay with a US bank account (account # and routing number). CEAC doesn't let you pay for both at the same time so I paid that one first. Then paid the next one (IV) $325. I paid these on Wednesday 2/20 and by Friday 2/22 their statuses changed from "Processing" to "Paid". Then I was able to log in and start the DS-260. My husband and i worked on that all day Saturday and submitted it Saturday evening. Then it took me about a week and a half to upload all the required documents (Passport pages, birth certificates, marriage certificates, police and court record, translations, I-864, tax transcripts, W2s, paystubs, etc) and more supporting relationship evidence like boarding passes, chats, additional photos, etc. I was done uploading everything by 3/5/19. I submitted everything that afternoon. By 3/8/19, I got an email from NVC instructing me to log in to CEAC and check their messages. I logged in and saw all the documents had been accepted but two things were rejected. My birth certificate (which I technically didn't even need to submit since I'm the petitioner) was upside down, and I uploaded my 2018 1040 form instead of transcript ( I only just filed my taxes a few days earlier so I didn't and still don't yet have access to the 2018 transcript). So I fixed these two issues and resubmitted them that same day (3/8) and by the next Friday (actually early Saturday morning the 16th at 3:10 am), I got the " documentarily qualified " or "case complete" email from NVC. This Friday will make two weeks waiting for an interview date. The NVC sends your files to the embassy after your interview has been scheduled. They work with the embassy to schedule an interview date first. Sorry this was long, hope it helps.

We tried to file for case outside of normal processing times, and got the exact same response. We have PD 21st of may and still haven't heard anything yet about NOA2. I am hoping, since we both live in Denmark, that the NOA2 is on the way, since it takes a couple a weeks to reach us and that it's been approved, but they haven't updated the website.

But again it's just my dream scenario
    What was your PD ?

    Congratulations !
Yeah, big difference ! Texas center is very fast. Nebraska center is the slowest !
Maybe Nebraska center is dealing those cases with priority date in May, 2018 now.

I’m using an app out of the Apple store called Case Tracker for USCIS.  I’m not sure if they have an android app but if they do it’s fantastic!!

Honestly, I was expecting them to change the date range to 10.5 or 11 month soon for Nebraska. I am expecting a canned response as well, it just made me feel like I was trying! I use the case tracker app on my phone and there are over 180 OTHER pending I-130s from the same date as mine all at the Nebraska Service Center. They are simply behind, which is unfortunate. The "10 month" upper range listed is no guarantee!

Hi I am sorry to hear about all your trouble . Please read up on my topic created “ Almost In the 300 days club “ . Try to contact different avenues to get a response . The email you received to wait 60 days is an automatic response . I submitted two during this process and was approved one day later after the 2!lnd attempt response

Hi LC & MS, I already got news yesterday from my co-sponsor that our petition was approved! We used her US address so she's the one receiving the actual mail. The form (NOA 2) was dated March 14, 2019 which was exactly 10 months after priority date. I haven't received anything in my email yet. Hopefully your case gets approved sooner!

Yep.  I did it.  My wife and I got married in Arkansas on April 7.  We file my I-130 paperwork this weekend!  We're both in Canada right now and we go across the border every single weekend.

Mike445 reacted to NikLR in Getting ready to file I-130!
You do not need both the USC and the beneficiaries birth certificates and passports at this time. You use ONE of the following to prove the petitioner is a USC: entire US passport, US birth certificate, naturalization certificate.
If the beneficiary is not currently living in the USA they also do not need passport sized photos.
But the rest of your evidence is fine.  More than is generally asked for from a Canadan beneficiary.  Don't bother with affidavits.

Correct, but many seem to think that until they have some ID with their married name on it, that it hasn't been changed yet.  I can see their point, in that many don't change their names when they marry.  Sometimes it's the male who changes his name.
