Read the thread "Submitting passport after interview" right in front of your face in this U.K. forum.

From the visa FAQ page of the embassy website https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visa-faqs/courier/
For security reasons, all documents should be submitted via the approved courier service. If you have been asked to submit your passport or any additional documents, you should log on to your account via https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb and print off a Courier-in Receipt.

Todd L F reacted to TNJ17 in Where to marry?
Requiring SSN for marriage is a myth. A lot of people seem to think they do. They ask if you have it and if you do you write the number down but if you don’t have it you don’t. Lots of foreign tourists get married in all states of the United States every day and tourists aren’t eligible for SSN. You just say you don’t have it because you’re not a resident. That’s it. End of story.

NC! I've been married twice here, both did not have SSNs at the time. They were told to fill in with all zeroes and show their passport. Married in Greensboro. Fairly sure you could make a border run to up to Charlotte and get the same results

Congratulations on both the baby and the end stages of the process. It seems you're just a couple of weeks behind my fiance as well. That's odd that you have to have social security numbers to get married but why don't you apply for your social security number within a couple of weeks of arriving? It usually only takes a couple of weeks to arrive and should be there by then time you guys want to get married. I'm not sure why they're being so strict. Come to Georgia where I'm from lol, all we need is my license and his passport and possibly our birth certificates.
Good luck, hope all goes well for you. Sounds like your plans are about the same as ours.

Georgia is close, nothing but 3 hours max and if you call the courthouse in advance and find out what i just posted

Yes, I didn't consider that. and it's a long drive. just start searching close neighboring states, or I'm sure in the next few hours you will have plenty of suggestions from people on VJ. This is the best forum to be a member of in my opinion, has saved me a lot of headache, and I have just begun.

you can apply for SSN as soon as you do POE, all you will need is birthcertificate, i-94 and passport with k-1. you may get a manual verification, but according to USCIS it shouldnt take as long as it has before.
Georgia is close and they do as in Alabama from my understanding. NO SSN required. We got married, got officiant and got marriage certificates in less than 1 day w/o SS#.
Good luck

I beleive it’s mmr2 I need, apparently I’ve only had the first one and there’s 2 shots needed. Just mention you’ve had chickenpox and you’ll be fine.

There have been some ppl here that are a few weeks ahead of you and have completed their medical and I suggest you look back a few tabs and uncover who they are and PM with that question. And here is a wealth of information http://www.visajourney.com/portals/index.php?country=United+Kingdom

Todd L F reacted to yuna628 in Avividat of Support help
For London specific cases, in general, only the I-134 and supporting evidence should be presented from the co-sponsor (if you are using one). Supporting evidence can be an IRS tax transcript, letter from employer, and pay stubs. Pick one, they are pretty easy about it.
There have been on recent occasions, a few officers that also wished to see a form from the fiancé. Seeing the bank account is not needed. Does the fiancé not have pay stubs or pay taxes?
Keep in mind that once you get past the K1 process, and marry in the US, you will need to file for adjustment of status. In that instance, if you are still using a co-sponsor (then known as a joint sponsor), more strict requirements come into play. The financial form I-864 will be required from both the new spouse and the joint sponsor, along with their own financial evidence.

@Todd L FSnappy snaps... anywhere they take photos. You ask them and they will do it for you. Ask them to also send the photos to your email and give them the requirement size for uploading on the I160. I did this with my tourist visa for USA and I didn’t have any problems uploading.
