The weirdest thing though is that I never got the status "ready to schedule the interview." Makes me worried that it was some USCIS mistake and somebody changed the status on accident...
 
I will try to keep calm until I actually get interview notice (but it's dahm hard!!)

Mine was also an hour away and I took a gamble. The lady originally told me they couldn't take me and I explained how I lived an hour away so they decided to let me have my appointment that day. It could be worth it but only if you're willing to drive 2 hours for potentially nothing. My husband and I treated it like a road trip, he had last Friday off of work 😂.

I got my Biometrics letter today! 
My appointment is July 15.. it's going to be in Denver.. I live an hour away.. I wonder if it would be worth a try to walk in... would hate to make the drive and get turned away!

Thanks! Def will consider. We are off to Los Angeles, and since @Biffa just posted about doing a walk-in there that's all good info to have. Hopefully it won't come to this though, I'd rather be drinking a butterbeer at harry potter world! 🤞😁

I have not seen any evidence that Save will verify pending AOS. I think that's the kicker.
I would have been able to receive a DL with my own pending I485 if it had.
In some states they manually accept I797c's without verification through DHS. That's the difference. 

So it's them waiting for SAVE to verify then. 
I know the frustration. Hope it gets sorted soon. 

Does Colorado accept 797c as proof of legal presence? I got a licence here in Michigan with that. It took 10 days for them to check my status. I was told it could take up to 3 months for them to get a response back so in the end I was pleased it was only 10 days.  I think the problem is SAVE and maybe backlogs , not the DMV. I hope you get it sorted soon as I know how frustrating it can be. I was nearly going out of my mind during those 10 days at the prospect of being stuck at home for another 3 months.

We sent AOS package on June 10 through FedEx and it arrived on June 12, I got the texts with our case numbers on June 18 and the hard copy letters  on June 28. 
NOA 1 date on June 17

wow... major insecurities... get out .. seriously, it will never change!
 
there are so many people out there that will make your life better, you shouldn't have to live your life walking on egg shells.

My package was received on 17th June (signed by J.Harper), and we got the texts + emails yesterday!  

We received our text around 11 pm, on June 24. they received the files on 17. Now waiting the mail.
