No where in your DS 3025 should say it expires in 2 years. This is just one out of 4 forms in the foreign medical. See them as "foreign medical", not individual forms. Your foreign medical is valid forever as long as you filed for AOS within 1 year. That's the rule.

USCIS officers that are not familiar with K1 will ask for new medicals. It happened to me at my interview, I just told him I didn't need a new one, he said right and moved on.

It's still valid. What matters is I-485 filing date:

A few people got this letter the past few months. You don't need a new one. Your medical is still valid. Print the Instructions and take it to Interview. You never had a 693, so the 693 rule doesn't apply to you. If the officer at the interview still says you need it, ask them to speak to a supervisor.

Don't know if anyone still follows this thread but thought I'd try it...

We are FINALLY going to have our green card interview on August 18th (last one in March was canceled due to COVID-19). After reviewing documents, I realized that somehow the copy that I made of the original EAD application has gone missing (trying not to blame myself too much since it's been TWO YEARS and we've moved once). I have a copy of everything else that I submitted with the original AOS application, except for this. Is this something I need to worry about? The interview instructions ask us to bring copies of everything, but I don't know how much of an issue it would be not to have this, especially when we actually just received approval for the combo card renewal.

Any advice would be great, thank you!

We applied for marriage based AoS in April 2019.  We have been "ready to schedule" for interview since May 2019.  Our case is very straight forward.  No interactions w/ law enforcement, husband is Canadian, we both make decent money (he's a physician).  Major city field offices are backed up and each has different priorities.  Ours (Seattle) apparently prioritizes employment based AoS and N400s.  Sorry to say, but this is just the way it is currently.

*Knock knock.....*    Anyone still in this dusty old place?  I think we are one of the last approvals for the November 2018 group!  We waited 15 months for the interview, which was 1/30/2020, and just today got the "New card is being produced " message. FINALLY!  The Seattle USCIS office must be the slowest in the country now.

Good luck to anyone else in this group who is still waiting.  Next stop:  ROC 😁

The renewal process was exceptionally fast. You should get a notice if you got a IOE case number that says they are processing your renewal electronically. My wife had her new card in about 30 days exactly from my filing date. You can check my timeline for exact dates, but it was fast. I renewed really early also, about 100 days before expiration thinking it would take months to get. Had the card 30 days later, then our AOS interview came up and had green card before original EAD AP card expired, but it was a fast process to renew. You should be ok.

I have a badge for McCarran airport also because I occasionally do deliveries to the different airlines and I have to drive onto the flight line to make deliveries, so I've spent time in the " Badging Office" myself, so I know your worry, but I think you should be good.

Interview this morning and went great!! Started with the "you will have the decision within 30 days.." which led into conversation ending in "honestly, I'll probably approve this today and you should receive this within 7-10 days" WE ARE SO HAPPY! The only documents they took from us were the I-94, joint assets, marriage certificate (then gave it back because they had the original). They went through the basic questions on the app and just asked us when did we meet, when did we get married, and then where have we traveled together. We brought WAY too many pictures haha probably close to 200, and 2 photo albums that she glanced through.

    Very pleased!

Card in hand 7 days after interview! So relieved! Isn't this the best feeling? I mind the K1 feeling simply out of this world but jeez this is peace of mind for just under 2 years! Thank-you everyone for everything! I know its biased (UK) but I wish everyone the best just dessert to enjoy the UK or home country to the max. It's a crazy journey.

    Hey!

The interview was super awesome-seemed more like banter! She was the loveliest.

I got asked the usual stuff confirming name, dob, yes/no questions from I-485. She only asked Jake 1 or 2 questions at most from memory like when did we meet and she mainly spoke to me. She didn’t want to see wedding photos (which I did offer) and said that my folder was organised beyond what she normally sees and my lawyer joked saying I could have a job in his office 🙈🙈🙈🤣🤣🤣

She spoke quite a bit about Cali (as entered in Oakland for K1 and that’s were she’s from) and was intrigued how I went transitioned from The Emerald Isle to brown Vegas 🤣

All in all wonderful experience. It lasted 15 mins at the very most; super quick. Approved same day on case tracker and in person ❤️

    Hello my lovelies,

I got my interview scheduled at Las Vegas. Totally shocked. Interview is Sept 12th. However, I do have my UK trip scheduled Aug 21st-Sept 4th. I should be fine to go still with my AP?

EAD card is being produced!! Day 256. Finally. We are obviously over the moon - but I know there are plenty still waiting so my thoughts are with you all ❤️

We actually spoke with an immigration lawyer (free consultation) yesterday, prior to being notified that the card was being produced. She was very friendly and helpful, and was also puzzled by the long processing time. She said it's possible that our requests a few months ago for expedited EAD slowed things down - maybe up to a month. She explained that each time an expedite is requested, the documents change teams and/or offices, which inevitably slows things down. This is NOT what USCIS told us. She recommended that we discontinue contacting USCIS at all until after August 8th, which was the date USCIS said we would likely hear back regarding our inquiry about out of processing times AP. I don't know if any of this is helpful, but thought I would share it just in case.

    Hello all,

I am sorry to hear that there are still a lot of December filers without EAD/AP.

I received my combo card just today and I have 2 questions regarding it:
    - on the page of the "instructions" sent with it, it says to bring your combo card wherever you go to prove your alien status. Is it safe just have it in the wallet? what do you guys do? because there is also that huge sleeve that they sent to "protect it".
    - I will probably have to renew my card since in one year i will probably still not have my green card (Seattle FO here). When should I apply for the renew? Does it take how much it takes to get the first one? because if it does, I should basically apply in a couple months.

    Thanks,

Have a good day and don't lose hope 🤞

    Interview went good!

Interview time was at 10:30am but we arrived before 10. Airport like security was fine. Sat in the waiting room for maybe 15-20 minutes before we got called back.

Interviewer had us stand, raise our right hands and promise to tell the truth. Once we did we sat down and he said "Welp, I dont anticipate this being too long since your file looks great! I'm not going to grill you like they show at the end of The Proposal with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds." We laughed at that and I mentioned how my mom had asked me if that was what it was going to be like and I told her probably not. He went though the application just to make sure nothing had changed. He added that Matt is now working at Best Buy and that he's gotten (and paid off) a speeding ticket. He also asked us if we liked Blue Springs and said one of his sons lives there. He asked Matt our anniversary, which he got wrong and I stared at him with daggers. The Interviewer laughed and said he always likes asking the husbands that since he can see the panic in their eyes and then joked that he tells his Amazon Echo to remind him of his anniversary.

He asked if there was anything we wanted to add to the file so we gave copies of our joint car insurance, our lease, utility bills with both our names, and a joint bank statement. He said that since our file is good he'd reccomend Matt for approval, but if they did need anything else they'd sent us a letter. Just as we were about to go, he saw that we had brought a photo album and asked if he could look through it. We of course said yes and he flipped though it; he mentioned seeing pictures of relationships are the best part of his day. He liked that we had photos at castles and churches in the UK and from trips here as well. Some of his favorites were us at Worcestershire cathedral, at castle ruins in Wales, Matt in front of the Ellis Island National Museam, Matt at a KC Royals game, my dad walking me down the aisle at our wedding, and my whole family and Matt wearing KC Chiefs shirts. He said that later this month there is an oath ceremony before a Royals game and they are trying to get about 500 people sign up to do their naturalization oath at it. He said they've done them at Sporting Kansas City soccer games as well.

Anyway, since he said he was gonna approve us we're just waiting on the app to update. He was thinking it should be by the end of tomorrow if they didnt find that they were needing anything additional. But they app has been playing up so who knows if its updated now or not. Matt's permanent residence card should be here in 3-4 weeks if not sooner!

I found a local USCIS person who said he will sign I-693 if we bring evidence of vaccination for about $250. So far, we do not even have interview date. Will make decision at that time. The guy that I found actually reviewed DS-3025 by e-mail and responded that the only thing is missing is Tdap due to 10 year requirement. If you want I can PM you his e-mail, and maybe he will be able to review your DS-3025. Paying $250 to avoid a possible hassle of dealing with RFE after the interview might be a reasonable trade off.

My wife and I went to the interview today. She was verbally approved for her 2 year conditional Residency! We are super excited! Our official was nice and courteous, she didnt make us feel uncomfortable at all. Nothing crazy was asked, just the normal yes, no questions out of the I485. The official did ask me how we met and when and where I proposed to my wife. She asked for proof that her and I share assets, I gave her several documents of which she kept. She also asked my wife when we got married and what my wifes parents names were. My wife had to have an interpreter and lady was very good at her job! In and out within 25 mins. The official said her GC should arrive within 2 weeks. We cant wait to visit the beach and her hometown in Mexico!

    Hey all,

I am glad they updated the processing times.
Yesterday night, after 232 days my case for EAD has finally been updated to "New card is being produced"
    Finally!
I know it has been said 200 times, but how long does it usually take to have the card in hand from now?

    Thank you.

    Hello everyone,

231 days since my NOA1 now and no sign of EAD/AP. In 2 weeks I will be able to make an inquiry. I hope to get it before that, but just trying to get prepared with the inquiry process. Does anyone have experience with that?
Is it better to make an inquiry via phone or online? How long does it take from the inquiry to receive answer or better the EAD/AP?

I have a bit of situation: I have a booked flight to my country at the end of August. I know I shouldn't have bought it without the EAD/AP in hand, but I bought it when the processing times were still 5-7months so I didn't think that I wouldn't have it after 8months +.
