demortae reacted to Viridian in I-751 May 2021 Filers
Well, friends, it's been 32.5 months (the exact processing time currently given for form I-751 on the USCIS website) and I'm pleased to say that as of February 1st, 2024, my case has FINALLY been approved. No interview, no RFI, nothing. Truly cannot believe how long this took. Are there any others still waiting?

Unfortunately, 29 months is 882 days, so I'm still within the norm.

...good to know I'm 21 days away from being outside the norm.
Though I apparently can't make enquiries until the end of October because uscis need that extra couple of months I guess 😩

I believe you might be close to getting an approval any day now.
Keep us posted! I have seen people whose status only updates via the website and not anywhere else, so check every week now, maybe?
If not, I believe you are pass the point (or close) to do a "outside of processing time" inquiry. I would try calling and getting a Tier 2 officer or submitting the form online.

Just got mine and my daughter's 48 month extension letters today. We filed in May of 2021. Good to know we can at least renew our drivers licenses, if nothing else.

Had our interview (AOS from K1) here in Charlotte this morning, and it was sooooo easy! The officer was super friendly, asked if any information had changed, went through the yes/no questions, and that was it. He didn't ask to see ANY of the documentation we brought with us, and said he was going to approve my husband's green card on the spot, and congratulated both of us at the end of the interview! Soooo thrilled to be done with this for at least a couple of years! YAY!

no
Send all 3 forms at the same time.
It costs the same $1,225 to send the other two forms with I-485

Yes, of course. File in the name you wish to haveon your greencard, and just write your maiden name under "other names used" or whatever it says these days.
Don't forget to file for AP too, it's for free and you never know when you might need it.

demortae reacted to geowrian in K2 SS card
This is correct. A non-citizen child must be allowed to work before they qualify for an SSN. An individual with K-1 status is technically allowed to work (with a valid EAD), therefore they qualify. A K-2 individual is not, and must therefore have an EAD or green card first.

You more than likely won't need it for POE but I would keep it all till you finish your journey with citizen ship. You never know if you might need info from your past paperwork.

My interview was this past Wednesday, and nothing was asked for as proof of relationship. I did bring some just in case though.

All they asked for was on the P3/4 checklist. Just make sure to have multiple copies of everything. And make sure to have a long form birth certificate.

It was by far the easiest part of this whole process. Everyone was very nice. Waited for our number to be called, passed in our paperwork as she asked for it, and took a seat to wait again. Got called to a second window, and the lady asked how we met, when we first met in person, how long my longest visit was and what he does for work. I didn't have to give any additional information. And they didn't even ask for our ds160s or 129f. Although I assume they already had those.

I called Medisys in Montreal to ask about this before i booked my visa interview (K1). They were very flexible, and even joked that they could get me in that day if i could make it lol. They are quite accommodating.
