Can only SSA income let me sponsor my wife
If your SSA income meets the 2022 poverty guidelines for your household I don't see why you couldn't

Hello Everyone, How do you guys know which service center is processing your case? My receipt said IOE.
Not a 100% sure, but I would think it is processed at NBC (National Benefits Center) and when it is complete and ready to be scheduled for the interview it would be transferred to your local office.
-
That is why it is illegal to ask for GC/SSN etc before actually accepting an offer and filling out I-9 form for employment verification. Also you can use your unrestricted SSN card and a state id/driver license combo instead of the GC.
I usually remind the recruiter that i am not sending my GC over and the only thing they can ask if I need sponsorship or not.... If they still press on the issue I just thank them and look for different job posting.
Regardless of this I wouldn't worry it if was a legit recruiter and not some scam off the internet.

Estimated time* until case decision:
*These completion projections are based on case processing for applicants who have been lawful permanent residents for at least 5 years. For all other applicants, completion projections may vary.Interesting. Does this mean it will be slower/faster than somebody who filed based on the 5 years rule? -
Hi all,
Didn't see a topic for N400 February 2022 filers so though will open one.
Not sure if it will help or not since I would say the processing times will depend a lot on the local office.

If there was not a sealed envelope then the instruction to give them to the CBP officer at POE was unnecessary. They are not interested in the chest Xray ( CDs) or your copy of your immunization record from the medical. File those with all the other copies of your application, notices and documentation. Nothing to worry about and nothing you need to do.
Oh I see. Lil bear is correct

Not sure why since the embassy told her to deliver them by hand to the US immigration check point.
To make sure everything is delivered you can call a deferred inspection around your location and they might take it. You might be one of the odd ducks where the embassy switched to digital between issuing the visa and your entry time since u said it was like 5 months. Make sure u don't open it and still try to deliver it in my opinion.

Just as an FYI, most all browsers have this issues uploading files when you submit your application EXCEPT for Internet Explorer. Seems that is the main browser USCIS has used for all its online forms. Also have had several other users that called USCIS about the same exact thing, the USCIS Reps told them to us Internet Explorer and it worked properly. So Anyone in the future that is submitting their app online, Use Internet Explorer instead of other web browsers.
What if I do not have Internet Explorer?

Where not issued in my presence it was childhood time. I didn't know how it happened. I didn't fill out the Ds260 myself.
So to sum it up. Your Moroccan passport has a different name + DOB. When you obtained your Hungarian citizenship I assume you needed a birth certificate and based on that you got a new passport with the correct Date of Birth.... If that is correct, you could just get a new Moroccan passport with the correct DOB right? Or your Hungarian documents are not correct?
If you had help you can't blame them. YOU are responsible providing the correct information. As others said don't dug yourself deeper into the hole. Instead try to correct it.....

Any reason why you are using the other passport (Hungary?) instead of the Moroccan one?
Probably less scrutiny since Morocco is a high fraud country and from seeing this I don't wonder a lot of why...
Also If I read it correctly there is no more ESTA available for Hungarian passport holders those were not born in Hungary. Most likely because of cases like this....

I have two nationality, the passport I travel to Morocco is not the one I use for the USCIS/NVC. MAHAMADOU is the document I travel to Morocco and Muhammad in USCIS/NVC.
If I am not mistaken the DS-260 asked you about other nationalities you might HAVE or HAD.... Did you fill that out correctly or "mistake" happened and forgot that you have another citizenship?
It is not an issue to have multiple citizenship with different names as long as you are honest about it.... BUT HOW DO YOU HAVE DIFFERENT BIRTH DATES ON THOSE DOCUMENTS?

I guess it a very big cultural shift for him to move here and he doesn't know how to deal with it. Not everybody can adapt that fast. U said he misses stuff from India, food, friends, family. I know a couple of ppl originally from India and for them family and family support is everything. It is how they grew up into and got used to. Image that is taken away too.
I assume he can't drive here so he is with you all the time, maybe alone when u go to work stuck at home. As from an immigrant perspective this might be all overwhelming and even if the relationship is strong otherwise can use big issues as you can see.
You are thinking that he is rejecting YOU and he stringed you along. For me "how can I cancel his visitor visa" tells meyou are hurting and you want to hurt him even more. Why do you want to go after his tourist visa?
Btw did he spent a longer time period here in the US during that five years? If not you can't really blame him. Coming as a visitor and doing touristy stuff for a week or two can't really prepare him to how it is going to be when he moves here permanently. If you think back, did he ever expressed while visiting you in the US that the food is strange, the movies are different or like can we go to an Indian restaurant etc...
Since he kind of expressed that he don't want to move here, why do you think he is going to go home, do the interview and then come back and disappear when he expressed that he doesn't like it in the US?
As others said contact NVC or the consulate and withdraw the petition.

Can I used this green card for I9 form they make u fill when I start work.I also have state ID and unrestricted ssn,can I use those? What should I choose on the I9 as status, is it Lawful permanent resident? (My status is conditional resident but got 10 year card by mistake).Thanks.
I would use state ID and unrestricted SSN card. Especially since u have a conditional card at the moment so once that is expiring they will want to do a new I-9. Also you are an LPR even if it is "conditional".
Your employer can't tell u what to bring for I-9 verification, you can use whatever combination works for you (List A or combination of B+C) as long as you are eligible.

Hello.
My wife and I are finally heading back to Ukraine after nearly 3 years from entry. And the great news is we get to bring our 20 month old daughter to meet with my wife's family. My question is my wife has her 2 year GC, Ukrainian International Passport but her Domestic UA Passport has expired. I don't think it should be a issue but last minute nerves are getting the best of me. We will be bringing both of her passports, Green Card, Marriage Cert, Daughters Birth Cert and my wife's NY Drivers permit.
Going through Newark, Warsaw and Lviv airports.
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge with this?
Thanks, Gary
Your wife should be able to call the Ukranian embassy in the US to seek clarification.
I think the "internal passport" is more like an ID card and should not have much say on entering the country.
Btw your daughter will need an US passport to come back to the states. As far as I know the birth certificate will be not enough.

I think you could add him as a secondary driver on your insurance. I think he might be able to purchase some insurance (probably way limited and way more expensive as he would be a resident).

Hi All!
I am planning on applying for citizenship soon, and I noticed the processing times for N-400 right now can be quite long. I have just under 2 years left on my GC, but I wondered if anyone has a source for information regarding working if CG expires but N-400 is still being processed?
Thanks for any input!
You can do I-9 verification with DL/State ID and SS card without annotations ("VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION") . if you never updated your SSN card and it has that annotation it's time to remove it now before your GC expires.
I never used my GC for work authorization

Got a driver's license within one week? Aaahhh this guy planned to overstay even before stepping in the US. Because, how'd he know how to obtain the license, what he needs and where to go to get one, all within a week?
It is actually pretty simple to get a DL in the US if you have the right papers. Some states does not require proof of status and u can apply for a license.
Went to DMV, they told me which office to go for the testing and gave me a book to study from. Went next day to the place they told me to go, took the written test and then the same afternoon the driving test. Walked out with a paper that I passed. Approx in 2 hours. (needed to wait for the driving test) My issue was that Missouri wanted to see a GC or EAD to actually issue the license, but had no issues with me taking the test.

She has an interview in January. How is a work visa a lottery?
Might be wrong here but as far as I know the company decide to sponsor you, have all the labor certificates needed etc. You or the company (not sure) registers for the visa and then USCIS randomly choose 65K applicants + the cap exempt ones and notifies you to submit the full package if u were selected. Even with a job offer there is no guarantee that you will be selected to even submit your package.
-
If she can even get an interview in the first place. Even tho it is not even legal the first question usually due to my foreign name is.. do you have an EAD, GC or citizen and send a picture of it.... Maybe in her field is different but I doubt it...
Applying to jobs while on vacation is sketchy at best and might indicate immigrant intent so the CO might think that she might stay illegally and hope that she can marry a citizen to adjust status...
Event with a job offer she would need to apply for a H1B or similar category visa which is not guaranteed and basically it is like a lottery due to many ppl are applying. The majority goes to Indian tech workers if I am not mistaken.

As I mentioned in a post after this, I also quit because of how my job was affecting my mental health in such a detrimental way along with the pandemic. This is my first visit in the US, yes. It was a way to try and recover from basically everything going on at once.
I am unsure about how to find the adjusting status requirements. I am already undergoing through most of the vaccinations I linked on the website, I'm taking care of it in my health centers.
Thank you again, everyone, for your advice.
Ahh I see. Did not see that. Probably was writing my response.
Good luck. Let us know when you will be admitted. Hopefully they won't question you too much!

I already forwarded this post to my SO so he can be informed as well, I already expected it would not be an easy task to move with him
You already called him SO.... and mentioned "move with him" and you were not even under pressure by a CBP officer.... basically if I play the devil's advocate you just admitted that it's more than a bf/bf thing and you are planning to move in with him.... And I am not even trained to ask the right questions or pull out a contradicting sentence from you

Hello there!
I never knew that such a helpful place existed, thank you for the help you offer to so many people. I don't know if you answer these types of questions, or if I am in a proper forum page for it, but here goes.
I am a Spanish citizen that after two years in an online relationship, have decided to quit my job and plan ahead and spend all of my time and energy into finding a life with my significant other. This stay would be for 3 months, using an ESTA waiver (88 days), while I prepare medically at home (waiting times) to then make proper adjustments to go for a K-1 Visa or a working visa (I have a master's degree, so hopefully that'd help me out) in the future. The thing is, this relationship is with another man, and I don't know if I'll be undergoing discrimination in the interviews at the airport, or if I should say I'm staying with a friend, or with a significant other.
Would you please give me some advice as to what to say at customs, or if I'd be okay with saying the truth (which is what I said up there). I've been told in the past that some friends were brought into customs for hours after barely mentioning they were in a gay relationship (it slipped in the 'where are you going to stay' questions) and it made me anxious as to what I should say.
I am trying to inform myself as much as I can and this website has already helped me a lot before even making this post, so thank you for that already.
Is it your first time visiting the US? 88 days feels a lot. Usually I was coming for like 2-3 weeks at a time. That is more acceptable for CBP and I had work back home.
Quitting your job and coming to visit will raise some red flags for sure. Had a friend over with ESTA and since her job was done in sessions of months and then time off (70 days) and she barely avoided secondary. CBP asked a bunch of questions, starting on where is she staying, why is she coming, what is she going to do for 70 days, if we are in a relationship (I was the contact on the ESTA), is she planning to work , does she know anybody else in the US, etc.
I don't think you need to worry about being gay, I would worry more about convincing the officer that you won't be overstaying your allowed time... and since u have a bf in the US and quitting your job. What is your plan in the long run? I would not quit my job for somebody I was in an online relationship with so just I can visit....Especially not for 88 days. What if the two of you don't click IRL? Is he going to let you stay for 88 days regardless?
Btw you can just go and get vaccinated and be eligible for K1. If you plan doing the K1 start with the age appropriate vaccines so by the time you get to the K1 medical you would have all the required vaccines. Also there are vaccine requirement differences between K1 and adjusting status. Be sure to look those up too so you won;t need to pay the big bucks here in the US for the missing vaccines.

Documents to upload with n-400 form.
in US Citizenship General Discussion
Posted
As you go through the online form it will ask for you to upload things in different sections (like tax document, relationship proof and stuff depending on how you fill out the form) It should be fairly at the end if I remember correctly.
