Same sex marriage isn’t politics, it’s a human right.
And please don’t make the “at that age” argument, not every “aged” people is ignorant.

mcdull got a reaction from javadown2 in Am I the lucky one?
I filed my application online last June, when almost every online filer got processed in 3-4 months.
I was scheduled for an interview 4 months after my initial filing,... on a Saturday.... I went to my appointment anyway and obviously USCIS was closed.
Contacted the local office and congresswoman's office, was told the clerk must have made a mistake and I should receive my rescheduled interview very soon.
2 months passed by, no rescheduled interview notice, I was then told because of the congresswoman's enquiry, my files were sent to the congressional unit and then the congressional unit sent my file to another filed office .....
5 months later, I finally received my interview notice and attended the interview, I was recommended for approval and was told my oath will be scheduled in 2-3 weeks.
well, 1 month passed by, no oath letter, 2 months passed by, still nothing, So I went for an info pass and was told my files were again transferred to a wrong field office after my interview, they noticed the error and requested my files back to Boston. I was told wait for another 2-3 weeks and contact them again.
Then all of a sudden, I received an ELIS notification that my interview is scheduled. FINALLY! I thought to myself, when I saw my oath ceremony on my document tab, it is scheduled for July 30th. A whopping two months from today....
Oh USCIS, I love you not.

mcdull got a reaction from E & J 2018 in Chance of approval despite age gap
if your marriage is genuine, you will be approved.
I am 16 years older than my husband, I thought it would be an issue, but throughout our immigration process, not a question was asked.

mcdull got a reaction from Peot in Same sex couple - Should we apply for K1 now or wait?
I would be curious to find out the reason why your bf’s visa applications were rejected. US issues Mainlanders visa very generously, I believe the B visa refusal rate was 7-9%ish. And F visa approval rate there is very high as well.
You can can apply for K1 if you are going to marry him.

it has nothing to do with the way you put it, stop blaming yourself.
It simply doesn't make sense.

I remember you said you were afraid your husband won't make it to your oath ceremony and watch you becoming a citizen. So sorry for your loss. 節哀。

Can't believe I read this while episode, or perhaps season.
OP is mad that he can't have the visa tomorrow. Nobody is dying and let's just leave him to figure out how system and child care works.

mcdull got a reaction from halibut in Divorce in Hong Kong (Filipino Citizen)
You live in Macau, why are you seeking divorce in Hong Kong? What is your connection to Hong Kong?
we are completely separated entities and we have our own judicial systems, independent of each other.
Check macau’s family court and see if they would let you divorce there.

never lie to immigration.
of course they would know you worked illegally here. Otherwise, how could you have possibly supported yourself?
think Honesty, not out-smart.
