Ryanmaria2018 got a reaction from Jimmyzr1 in Delay for IR-1/IR-2 Visa Interview at U.S Embassy Manila [merged threads 5x]
Hi there, I was just inquiring about my wife's daughter who is still waiting for an interview appointment in Manila, Philippines. Her application was approved way back in Novenber 2022 and still she has no interview appointment yet. Is there a case bulletin to find her priority date or what? VERY disappointing with NVC!! We filed before her 21st birthday so I do believe she is still under the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA). Just frustrated it is taking this long even we know or at least they say it was due to covid back logs. By the way I did reach out to my Democratic senators here in Nevada but 3 months later NO response so to me they are worthless and just don't care. Hope to hear from you and praying you get a response here soon and a happy new year to you!!

JUst got my wife's approval letter yesterday as it was approved on Aug. 15th. Long time waiting, but glad we didn't need an interview either as I see many aren't needing one. Should have her 10 year green card tomorrow the 23rd of August just 1 day shy of her 43rd birthday! Now on to the N400 US citizenship application.

It is strongly advised to avoid making ANY non-refundable expenditures prior to receiving and visually checking visa. Too many things can happen.

Ryanmaria2018 reacted to Crazy Cat in I-751 question
Not at all. In fact, it "jump started" my wife's process. After waiting 40 months for USCIS to approve my wife's I-751, we filed her N-400 in August of 2022. In December 2022, USCIS approved both the I-751 and N-400 in a combo interview. 6 weeks after the interview, she became a US citizen.

Hello! we also filed the I-751 in January and finally today my wife just got her notice that Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken. So more than likely USCIS is waiving fingerprints already taken when fingerprints were required before receiving the conditional GC. There's also a possibility we won't need an interview because USCIS is so far backlogged and will issue a GC unless there's reasons to have an interview. Hang in there!!

January/ February filer here too, nothing other than fingerprints applied to my case on 03.28. Have an upcoming international trip, hope all goes well with coming back in using the extension letter and the expired green card.
My last VJ estimate said that the approval estimate is on 02.10.2023. Exactly a year after filing. We’ll see.

Hey guys how have you been? I know 2 years went by like a blip! My wife and I just filed our ROC 2 weeks ago and just now got our NOA1 today. I had colon surgery in December so we were delayed a little as our expiration date was Feb 25, 2022. We did get a 24 month extension on our case so it's all good. I forgot about the wife needing fingerprinted so I know that will come soon. Everything is moving at a snails pace so not worrying to much. Take care!!

Ryanmaria2018 got a reaction from Dashinka in Potential impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic on the citizenship process (and timelines)
We have been so used to people getting the flu virus and yet it goes unnoticed throughout the US and the world. The coronavirus hits the US and the panic is so way overblown and people are going to the stores to buy up hand sanitizers and water as if it's the end of the world. As we know now that it is affecting people who are 80 and over and people who are 60 and older are affected just like the flu. Just stay home and drink plenty of water and don't go out unless you need to.

Yayyy received approval notice today and got an update from USPS that the package with my husband's green card is arriving Saturday! It's been about 4 weeks from the interview on Feb 4, if you see some of my previous posts the IO said they were going to send an RFE because the medical wasn't in the file, but a week ago the case was updated to say it was approved! Fine by me 👍😁. They must have found it somewhere. Good luck to everyone! See you in 2 years when it's time to remove conditions 😉.

My wife got her green card in the mail today! So 6 business days after interview.
Seems lots are having problems with their medical. Actually the interviewer didn’t seem to have all of ours but we did have the one that was in the sealed envelope and she accepted it.

My wife and I just completed our green card interview today and was approved! So glad the interview went well and the gentleman doing our interview was very nice. Took about 30 minutes total and the interviewer asked questions about our children and then the relationship part was pretty simple. He spent less than a minute reviewing our documents and realized we had everything that was required about it So now we are good at least for another 2 more years so thanks for all the advice and suggestion here everyone!!

My wife and I are headed to the Las Vegas field office for our interview in 3 weeks so any advice would be appreciated. We have both of our names on our rental lease and bank accounts. I have a life insurance policy that has her as the beneficiary so I'm getting all my duck lined up!! All we need is to get her Nevada ID and a utility bill in both of our names. Everything else we have like pictures and birth certificates etc... Thanks!!
