You cannot wait inside the US as your future husband is not a US citizen -he hasn't filed yet and the citizenship process takes a year or more-.

And check the exact expiration date of your I-94 as tourists are granted 180 days stay maximum.

You used your EAD to get back to the US instead of the F1? If so, then you are not on F1 status anymore and you are using the EAD/AOS.

I recommend that you make an appointment with the international office at your university and ask them about this, and whether they have to make any changes to the university system/HR. Payment for those on EAD/GC/Citizen works differently than for F1 because of some tax/deductions.

I took it to be other names in legal documents, or crime records, things like that. Most of us have some nickname or shorter version of our name, but it's not what they care/are looking for.

Facebook is just a social account, you didn't use Jane Smith in any more official record, like a lease, or library card, etc. If you did, though, then it could make more sense to write it down.

Coco8 reacted to Den den in Can you hide your travel history in the interview with the consular
    Hi everyone!
I want to know if someone can hide there travel history from the consular officer, like telling them you never traveled but definitely you did. It's not because you're a criminal but you can't provide a police certificate from that country you traveled to before because you use different documents in that country with what you are using in NVC. that country they don't have a record of you with that name and nationality. So any advice how to fix this should I you tell the consular officer that you never traveled or what? Please advices!
And is it possible to hide the travel history are they gonna know you traveled before. Do they work with foreign countries to know that.
    Confused!

I would not change the name until she is naturalized in a few years.  Her fears about her maiden name are unwarranted, imo.

We know what you are asking.  Based on what you are asking, we are responding with information you NEED, including advice to do HOMEWORK.

US Immigration officials are concerned with whether your marital relationship is bona fide or genuine.  They want to see evidence it is.  They don't care one little bit about your job, fatigue, fear of infection, or any other excuse for not visiting your wife.  Staying with her own family is not a negative. Only one week together, ever, in person, is a huge negative.  This is no time to be indignant.  This is a time to do your homework and prepare for the real world of bringing your bride from Pakistan to the USA.

I think you'll need to provide a lot of evidence of bona fide marriage and "front load" you application given that the country is Pakistan. You need to do some research on this site about what this means and looking at the Guides. That means that you need to start working on the application now and preparing all of the evidence. It's not just filling out a form and mailing it.

Marrying on the 1st meeting is one of the red flag issues for Nigeria
you need to meet first ,  get to know the person in real life as online romance is different than real life romance

    A joke i read says':
one dog talking to other dog
    "I met a great female online "
    other dog
    "so,  what's your problem?"
    First dog
"Met her and found out ,  she's a cat"

and yes,  the marriage is the best way to go
but for either petition K1 or CR1 meeting only 1 time is suspect and begs for a denial

this is a lifetime decision ,   get to know each other in person
for Nigeria, she needs to show approval of your family (very important that your mom especially approves)

Coco8 reacted to African Zealot in Citizenship for child born in Canada to US Citizen mother in 1962?
If your friend is serious, he would be the one asking questions here himself. I find it totally incredulous that someone (his mother) lived in the USA for years and there’s no record.

Its not like we’re talking 500 years ago.

It is surprising to me that "additional evidence" is needed in this case.  I was born in Canada in 1957 to a US citizen mother and Canadian citizen father, there was no CRBA or anything filed, and I grew up in Canada thinking that I was only a Canadian citizen.  I even went to the US for college in 1978 with an F-1 student visa and returned to Canada after graduation in 1982 to begin my career.  In 1990, when I was accepted to a PhD program in the US, I again applied for an F-1 visa and was denied because the consulate replied, "you are a US citizen by birth."  So I sent them my mother's birth certificate, marriage certificate, and certificate of Canadian naturalization (showing that the became a Canadian citizen after I was born).  Those three documents, with my own birth certificate, was all I needed to get a US passport and a certificate of US citizenship in 1990.  Did you submit the mother's US birth certificate and marriage certificate with the N-600?  What specific additional evidence did they ask for when it was denied?  Did you apply for a US passport?  Your father could do a sworn affidavit, testifying to the facts and dates if there are no school or other records as proof that your mother lived in the US for the required number of years before you were born.  Good luck!

There's a US census in 1940 available and the names are on there; you can check on the genealogy websites.

Like others said, there should be school records or records of her family living in the US. If you can find anything about her parents living the US, then obviously the child (his mother) would be living in the US. Old obituaries, a news article, maybe they owned a store or had a job, owned property, etc.

No I have not. I only have i-130 filed and wondering if I can change my status to o-1 while waiting or will they reject my O-1 because of "immigration intent" based on the fact that my spouse has file a i-130 for me

The OP suddenly closed his/her account.........hmmmmm.  I'm not sure why the OP filed only an I-130 if he/she is inside the US.   Not sure from what status he/she wanted to change.

If they just got rejected, they cannot apply again. They'll get rejected again. They need to let a couple of years go by until they apply again.

Another rejection is going to be worse, so tell them not to reapply.

K1 is very difficult for Nigeria, OP. When there are red flags like this, marriage and lots of visits are better. Even with that, it might not be possible, though.

If you are a US citizen, petition processing times at TSC are currently 10.5 - 13.5 months.  The time it takes between petition approval and visa in hand can really vary.  18 mo-2 years is a reasonable expectation for the entire process.
