It doesn't matter how many doctors believe the process at SLEC is good or not .. still boils down to - follow the rules/requirements or you don't get the visa.

TB can and is a very serious disease, her health should be the most important thing at this point

Slam  and dunk!   Two points!     

Point we are making is >  you want the visa .. you follow the "rules".   
 
 
You can come on here to rant and that is fine, but in the end .... you follow the "rules" or no visa.
 
In the case of TB, CDC makes the rules, has nothing to do with the Philippines
 
The Philippines being on the "hit parade" for countries high in TB just makes it more common for  SPUTUM and DOT.

Daily treatments at SLEC is the quickest way to ensure success if needed
I have heard of people doing a 12 month program elsewhere and then doing the medical again
We were lucky and did not require treatment after the sputum culture but had decided to go the daily route via SLEC as a worse case
 
this has a good explanation of the treatment posted , hopefully you will not need it
also I do not believe there is a additional cost for the treatment

IF... if a person were to complete the TB medication elsewhere than at SLEC it would add a year to the process ... AFTER completing the 6 months of medication.    That is 18 months twiddling your thumbs.
 
St. Luke's is the only CDC recognized hospital for this process.

Remember, that even under the worse case scenario of six months of daily visits to SLEC, she will be getting life saving treatment.
 
People seem to forget that and focus on the extreme inconvenience.

your fiance will need to be prepared to go to SLEC for 3 consecutive days for samples
then its a waiting game for the 8 weeks
during this time no news is good news as a early call could be a indication of a bad result
We spent the 8 weeks preparing for best and worse case scenarios
worse case is the 6 month daily treatments at SLEC, so might want to ensure she is able to commute to SLEC on a daily basis
best case is you move forward with a 8 week delay
 
also as a side note, after her POE she had to go to the health department and do a follow up 4 month treatment program 
after doing the sputum and passing she was classified as having latent TB so it is in your best interests to ensure you do the follow up treatment upon her arrival

I would say it was pretty equal

We spent a lot of time reading through reviews and watching videos of the AOS interview prior to organizing our documents
We also saw a civil surgeon prior to filing the i-485 so we did include a sealed -693 in our package
 
We brought along the following documentations
copies of all I-797c we have had
Original and copies of birth certificates
Original and copies of marriage license and marriage certificate
Full immunization records for both my wife and her daughter
Copy of rental agreement
Our 2017 and 2018 Joint tax returns
Copies of our health insurance showing all parties insured
Copies of my life insurance with her as primary beneficiary
A new employment letter from my employer
Last 3 months earnings statements
last 4 month joint bank account statements
Our travel receipts and boarding passes for vacations taken together after her arrival
Original and copies of prior divorce decree's etc..
Around 60 pictures showing us together through the time she has been her, We made sure to include photos with my family and our vacation photos
 
We took the time to compile all the data in an order we felt would match the interview process 
We then placed the documents in clear sheet protectors in a 3 ring binder and labeled each page
This made it extremely easy for us to hand over documentation as requested and made it really easy for the interviewer to see what else he may want to request
He also asked to retain a few pictures for the records so we just went through together and he chose a few
 
The interviewer was very professional and made us feel very comfortable
 
The questions where basic and straight forward
How and when did you meet?
when and where did you meet in person?
He asked me if I had been married before
How many times?
How did the marriages end?
Where do I work?
What do I do?
Have you taken any vacations together and where to?
and the usual yes/no questions off the i-485
 
I am sure I missed a few questions but that was pretty much it, we just followed the advice others have given and tried to organize our information in a way that made logical sense so we would not be struggling to find anything that was asked
 
BTW- We were told the I-693 was not required since she was on a K1 but it never hurts to include it

We were complimented and told we are the best prepared he has seen :-)
Interview was a breeze and now our online status is changed to card being produced
