Okay, @sumbunny and other Canadian Bene's (May group is really small and I know there are  a few of you in here). This really should go in a Montreal/Canadian forum but because you asked, I'll provide an update (Admin, feel free to move if you feel it should be elsewhere and they can follow)...

Received the P4 email today. Finally got a chance to sit down to register on the IV site after work.

Just as suspected, currently, there are no appointments available in Montreal. I'll try again in the morning and, of course, will update when I do get through and let y'all know how far ahead they are booking to.

Again, admin please move if you feel necessary.

Question: When you say there is no dates available at all, do you mean for June or overall there is no dates available for the Montreal Consulate?

We had our interview yesterday, I brought a copy of everything that was in our original i129f package, everything requested in packet 4, screen shots of photos of us together on Facebook taken since we submitted our i129f, screen shots of Facebook Messengers chats, phone bills, etc... They didn't ask to look at anything besides the official documents requested in packet 4 (birth certificate, police report, divorce decree, and so on). They didn't even ask to see any of the additional information we had brought for the affidavit of support just the copy of the petitioners latest tax return. The interview was five minutes max, they asked a few questions about my fiance (name, where he lives and works), had I visited any countries besides US and Canada, and a few questions about my dad (who is Canadian military and was posted in Colorado for a few years). I was surprised it wasn't more intense. Granted we like you lived together for two years while my fiance was posted in Canada. We also have a son together and my fiance works for the US air Force. I would say bring stuff just in case, I'm glad I had all that stuff just in case they had asked for any of it. I had a big binder with me I felt a little ridiculous and don't worry they ask you to slide each paper through the slot individualy lol I hope that helps :)

Congrats!! Just a question on tax returns. Did you take a copy of the tax transcripts found on the IRS website or the actual Tax return? Also did they check for W2, pay stubs, bank statements?

That's not what the check box says though is what my point is. I won't lie.

Can somebody who has received P3 pls chime in?

someone is being too critical. If you wish to wait for p3 please do so. Many people have given you advice that it is ok to check the box regardless of you receiving the hard copy from the consulate. Keep this forum for what it is "Montreal medical & Consulate interview Reviews"

You're welcome. There is plenty of info if you search the Philippines portal as there are plenty of beneficiaries from your country.

And, lol....I had most of my docs ready for months except the few that are time sensitive (paystubs, passport photos, the Letter of Intent). In saying that though, some will take awhile to receive and must be organized slightly ahead of time (a long form BC, police clearances from other countries you have lived).

Still waiting for P3 to be sent to me. Just became "Ready" on May 30th and my status on CEAC updated just yesterday which subliminally tells me my case is being worked on. Expecting the P3 to be emailed/snail mailed to me any day now.

I did receive an email from my consulate (Montreal) telling me I must not proceed in sending them P3 or scheduling the interview. I had decided not to force feed them the P3 on my own without the okay from them but I had contemplated doing that so that was kind of strange to receive that email, lol.

BUT in saying ALL of that, each embassy is different. I cannot stress that enough that you must do research on the process after NOA2 and what your specific embassy requires and the timeline as to which you should proceed according to your embassy.

Very nice to hear this from a Canadian a little further ahead of me in the process. I have heard of others who have force fed P3 and had no issues. Worst case they will do is tell you it is too early to submit it. Might as well send it in being you already have "ready" on the CEAC.

    Morning,

I was trying to Login on https://ceac.state.gov and the following Message came out:

The selected Case Number and Date of Birth combination you entered does not match our records. Please try again or contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where your case is being processed.

Has this happen to anyone also?

I try with his information and Mine and the same error comes out.

The wac # is not your case number for CEAC. you will get your case number that will begin with 3 digit letter code based on your Consulate. To get the case number, you have to call NVC about 14 days after your NOA2 and they should be able to give you your case number.

  6. Sorry guys for so many questions. You all have been  more than helpful and I greatly appreciate it. I wanted to know how long does it usually take to get the passport back via courier after the interview assuming all went well and there was no issues?

as long as you do all the necessary vaccinations in the country of the beneficiary, you wont have to deal with more medical stuff in the USA and you need to do AOS before the year is over. The medical is only valid for up to 1 year, regardless of where you are in the process

Thank you for the prompt response. So the beneficiary will not have to request anything extra during the K1 interview like a report or results, correct?

We received NOA2 on 04/09/18 and received Packet 3 on 05/25/18...but there are two steps after NOA2 before you receive Packet 3 & 4. Your case needs to be forwarded to the National Visa Centre from USCIS and you need to be assigned a case #. I would start calling the National Visa Centre one week after receiving NOA2. Their phone # is 1-603-334-0700. You tell them you're calling to see if you have a case # yet. Give them your USCIS case # (WAC) Once they finally receive your case and give you a case #, they will then forward your case to the  Montreal Consulate. Once the Montreal Consulate has your file, you can start sending them Packet 3 by email. I actually sent packet 3 to the Montreal Consulate before they asked me to. They sent packet 3 by email to my fiancee (petitioner) 2.5 weeks after they received our file, and he forwarded it to me. They responded to me with Packet 4 to the Packet 3 I had sent them 3 days earlier. It's very confusing. It seems like they send Packet 3 to the petitioner by email and the beneficiary by snail mail. My recommendation is once the Montreal Consulate has your file, just start emailing Packet 3 twice a week until you get a response back with Packet 4. Sorry for such a long response but I wanted to give the correct info! :)

Thank you very much for listing out the steps and date. this is makes it easy!

Also, have any of you visited your fiances in the US as a visitor after the DS-160 was filled? Is there any trouble in doing so?
