Latonia got a reaction from Bengoj in married to a nigerian resident in morocco
@Gojo you are very correct we already know that but I think some people are misunderstanding my post... because as long as you have permanent resident in a country you are allowed to go to that embassy or consulate....but how is your experience going with your husband in Turkey and he is Nigerian... can you share.. you can send me private message

If he has permanent residence in Morrocco why would he have to do interview in Nigeria?   My husband is also Nigerian but has permanent residency in Turkey and he currently lives in Turkey. His consulate interview would be in Turkey. Sorry if off topic from what the poster asked.

Yes the immigrants did help build the USA and has added a lot of wealth to this country I do agree and now its becoming hard for immigrant families like my husband was attacked in Morocco and hit in the head now everyday im worried....i wish that this process was more in depth knowing  the good people from the bad people because we here on VJ that have good intentions are being suffered the consequences of actions of bad people...but I pray that all will be well soon because a child with special needs has to have both parents because my son is Autistic and as a single mother at that time before I married it was hard and you can't trust everybody to take care of your child that has special needs while you work.

Its best to get married than file I-130 after getting denied the k1..me and my husband met  in 2013 filed the I-129 in 2016 got denied was told to get married or file I-129 again so we had our big wedding in Morocco in 2017 and filed I-130 so refiling the I-129 is not a good idea for Morocco unless you are going to physically live together in Morocco for more than 3 months to a year then file the I-129 but even then they may deny so make the choice that is best for you

I see you have a plan and you can take that chance being that you met one time in person and got married at the same time...yes this is going to be a serious issue with the consulate in Casablanca for many of us who have already experienced them...it would have been great if you met in person before getting married that way you could have showed engagement photos with him and family and then later marriage  photos with marriage certificate because its gonna be hard to prove a bonafide serious relationship if you only had an online relationship for 2 years....sad to say but the consulate want look at the online relationship as a relationship....they will mainly look at when you actual met in person and how long you both was together but because you met for the first time and got married it will be a redflag for him because he will only be the one in the interview unless the CO request to have you there but most likely they may not allow you in the interview. For example there is a man on here that got married in Morocco and him and his wife was married for 5 years but only met 1 time in 5 years and got married even though he had the marriage certificate it was not enough proof so he is in AP...You can go ahead and file your I-130 but be prepared but I don't know much about k3...but k3 seems to be too much paperwork I think.

Please private message me because there is hope for your situation because like I explained my husband is a resident in Morocco but we found out that he is still considered a foreigner marrying a foreigner regardless and we thought we had to go to another country to get married also but we did not have to do that after speaking with people in the government...so don't get discouraged by negativity because there is a way to solve it

You have some serious red flags for this consulate in Casablanca but the age difference is not so much as a red flag but the previous marriages to men from the same region or country is where the problem will be...you should spend more time in Morocco with him before thinking of filing a k1 or cr1...it maybe too soon so just visit as much as possible to establish a stable relationship because Casablanca is tough

This maybe hard advice but according to the NOIR it seems like the CO might have found something out that maybe the petitioner did not know...just be thankful...it maybe heartbreaking but it may have been worst later

This seem to be the same issue from the other thread...the boy was about 17 when they met but 18 when they married she was about 43 when they married and is now 48 and he is 22 now...this is a serious issue because the CO is looking at the age he was when they met because he was a teenager and she was a mature woman...this is a very big age difference and knowing how Casablanca Consulate is...they will deny it again because of the age difference and it could have been something the young man said in the interview to the CO that made them deny him....

We are all here to help each other but the best thing to do is get a immigration lawyer and focus on things from there....if you have to go back to your country at least talk to the immigration lawyer so you would have covered all the options before leaving but I greatly understand that you left everything in your country to be with some one who you believe to have good faith to marry you but that happens alot with some foreign fiancee's once they get here to the states and get married but you must seek a lawyer because thats the only way to fight this issue...you have 3 issues that is very serious 1.you did not do AOS 2. you got divorced and did not report it to the uscis 3. you got remarried shortly after your divorce which is gonna look very suspicious to why you remarried so soon after divorce.....we here on VJ will give you advice but your situation requires a lawyer because its very serious but I would tell you the first thing that could have helped you if you had not remarried is that once you got divorced you should have reported to the uscis that you got divorced and that you entered the marriage in good faith because you stated that he filed for divorce not you the USCIS would look at the date it was filed and when it became effective...a immigration lawyer is best for you at this point

After my K1 visa was denied and months of waiting for the reason USCIS finally sent me a letter that said nothing about why it was denied...so I spoke to a lady at USCIS and she said sometimes the CO will deny if something does not seem right like if the CO ask a question and the answer does not seem the proper way the CO expect you to respond then they will deny you for something so very simple.....But we must know more of what happened for them to refuse your visa because a lot of us on VJ have experience with the casablanca consulate and we can help you so you want stress yourself out wondering why...

@K1vi my husband is a resident in Morocco too but from my experience it will be good for you and your fiance do at least 2 visits but as long as the baby is here in the states it is ok but its not necessary to mention your baby in this process or interview unless they ask you in the interview because it want guarantee an approval because most CO at the embassy thinks that couples get pregnant to get guarantee on an approval but there is many people on here that have babies for their fiance or spouse and the visa process is the same for everyone some people are denied or on AP even with children

The CO kept asking about the previous marriage so it seems possible that the previous marriage is what made the CO make that decision but im so sorry for the bad news because its hard when someone else has to make a decision for your life and family but the good thing is by you being married...I think you can appeal or something like that as long as the file is still at the embassy before they return it back to the states.
