Such claims are untrue, and the attempt to justify or defend individuals that wanted to take over the government and kill officials including the VP based upon their own entitled psychosis is not something I personally care to entertain. If someone invaded your home with a stun gun, pepper spray, a baseball bat, and zip tie cuffs, I seriously doubt you'd be later telling the police "but they weren't armed."

You know, condemning an insurrection on our nation's capital and acknowledging that these people were insurrectionists doesn't make you a liberal or a Democrat. Calling a spade a spade doesn't mean you've compromised any of your values. In fact just the opposite. While you can sympathize with these peoples' frustrations and anger about the outcome of the election, you can also condemn their actions. There's no need to be one dimensional on the issue.

I don't think so.  A divorced spouse can get benefits if they were married 10 years.  No such requirement if they were married when the death occurred.
