Thank you! I ended up going alone and it was fine. Nobody even mentioned the spouse not being there. Interview was super quick and smooth - approved for oath a mere hour later.

Personally, I would go to the original appointment.  15 days is outside the 14 day window.  I see no issues with your going.  You are in compliance with their directives.  I see no reason you would be rejected at the field office.

Huh? Did they not first issue an RFE for marriage evidence? I can't imagine that they denied you without giving you an opportunity to provide this.

You are missing the proof of compliance part. You need evidence that to are making the payments and making them on time.

It could become a headache for you when it comes time for the interview.  I agree with @Crazy Cat, it is best to wait a day or two as there appears to be IT clocks that may show things differently.  Here is a thread where another member was finally able to overcome the issue.

    Good Luck!

There is a good possibility that your application will be rejected.  They are VERY strict concerning the 90 day window.  Waiting a few days into the window is always a good idea.  Good luck.

Tax Transcripts are not required to be uploaded even though system prompts. You can bring them to interview. Any supplemental evidence of bona fide marriage can be brought to the interview.

    Hello Beautiful People,

I submitted my N400 online this morning at about 5:30am EST and within few minutes it shows biometrics reused and is being actively reviewed by USCIS. It also went from 15months to 13 months processing.

My estimated time is 13months and I reside in Atlanta.

Did you guys come across some one or know how long does it take for USCIS to reschedule your interview.
I have just received a call from USCIS right before my interview that your interview for citizenship is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances and we will mail you when we reschedule your interview. They also have updated my status to “interview canceled.”

You haven't had anything good to say about your ex who is long gone and it's still eating at you.  Doesn't seem like you're having a happy life.

While I am sympathic to your plight, you are blaming everyone else for your problems and your hurt.

It's the US Government's fault for giving you what you asked for - a visa and green card for your spouse.  They should have denied him a visa.  If they had denied his visa, you would have sued because it's not right to keep a husband from his wife.

There's no winning with some people.  It's always someone else's fault.

Take responsibility that you when through the entire immigration process asserting to the US Government that your relationship was legitimate.  You pursued the case.  No one forced you to do it.

If you're just gonna keep repeating this and don't like what people have to say, why not go talk to an actual lawyer about your desired lawsuit? No ethical or competent lawyer will take the case btw. If a lawyer does take it, they're just gonna grift you out of your money.

I have never seen a denial reversed without actions by the petitioner and beneficiary to overcome that denial.

I agree. I just want to add if a person you meet online first ask about your income, property and are you an American citizen it's big no to continue relationships, I mean it's normal to ask what profession you have and who do you live with but at the beginning if they ask you details of income and property is not a good sign. I see many women on Facebook who ask about bringing 20 years old guys to states when they are 50 and people give them advises and wish happiness, the same old men and young women, people don't understand or they understand but they are afraid of loneliness and just pay for that, I wonder to know the answer.

So the embassy official was corrupt? And you knew about your ex's history at the time of the immigration process? Yet you still decided to marry him and successfully brought him into the US? You're an adult. You made that decision. It is not the government's job to "protect your best interests". That phrase does not appear anywhere in USCIS' policy manual either.

It's against TOS to tell members to not post/say anything in your thread. And none of those people are saying mean things. They're pointing out facts. And facts are what lawyers and courts care about, btw, since you are hellbent on a "lawsuit".

So the basis of the case would be that USCIS, DOS etc. have a duty of care to a petitioner to make sure they are not duped.

And that in processing a visa they were not diligent in ensuring that did not happen somehow.

An interesting argument and one that I could see apply in other areas. For example could you sue the DMV for issuing a drivers license to someone who was then involved in an accident in which you were injured?

That is irrelevant to the merits of any lawsuit against USCIS or DOS.

I'm sorry this happened to you, and yes, it happens more frequently than you would think, but it is not on the government to protect you. If you look back on it now, I'm sure there were warning signs you missed...

Just wondering how many people were "duped" into thinking they were in a actual relationship, just to find out shortly afterwards you were not....and were essentially by a USC as basically an indentured servant with the threat of deportation or other consequences hanging over your head?
There is a possibility of preventing this from happening to anyone else....if we brainstorm and work together!!!!
Naysayers, please keep in mind that beneficiaries spent considerable amounts spent time, energy and money, as well as giving up their lives in their former country so be kind. And finally, any negativity is not appreciated here. If you haven't been in their shoes...how would you even know how they feel????

Immigration fraud is a two way street and can happen to both the petitioner and the beneficiary. I pray everyone on this journey finds the happy ending they are desiring.

Here is the thing. The government is only going by the evidence you provide them. They DO have methods to help curb marriage fraud. It is one of the reasons why you and other petitioners have to send in tons of evidence to convince them the marriage is real. But the government can only do so much. They do not stand a chance to a scammer lover who knows how to play the game until they get a green card/citizenship. These scammers are so well versed, that they sometimes will be the best partner the petitioner has every seen. We have even seen cases on here of some women having babies with the US citizen to strengthen their case, only to walk away from the relationship AND the children after they get a green card (or citizenship).

There is nothing the government can do to expose someone like that.

Sorry for what you are going through, but this happens all the time. And we see these cases on here constantly.

There are problems with the system but this problem is with the people using the system. How many times have we seen the likes of a 50+ year old obese woman thinking a 20 something aspiring personal trainer from a 3rd world country is in love with them. Then when the k1 gets denied they whine and cry about how the system is unfair. So they get married and and the Cr-1 gets denied so they appeal. Finally lover boy gets his greencard on the appeal because the US government is out of ways to stop this mess. Young guy comes to America, gets his greencard then disappears. *shock* It's not just women getting had this way, it's men too, probably even more so but I don't think they are as quick to get online and admit it. Use common sense and ask yourself if this person had the same means I do would they be interested in me. Then decide if you're okay with whatever the answer to that question is. There is nothing the government can do to stop people being blinded by love/lust.

Sometimes the family is in on it for the greater good of the family.

What makes you think you were duped? Could it be that it just did not work out? I’m just asking because on the flip side people don’t realize the strain of someone uprooting and relocating their life to a foreign land. And sometimes foreigners have an unrealistic view because the American dream is often something they see on tv. So when those 2 things clash with real life, all the lovey dovey feelings you had when visiting goes out the window.

What stage are you in? You don’t have a timeline completed. What would the class action be for? There’s really nothing you can do unless you have solid proof. Hearsay and speculation won’t cut it with USCIS. It may be best to let the process run its course so you can be off the hook for the 864. Best of luck to you.
