  1. For more history. I agree with the other posters, and particularly @appleblossom, you may be better off giving up at this point and avoiding the expenses and court time that this case appears to be heading. Good Luck.
  2. There is no deadline for filing the I485, so no issues regarding what you termed "late" filing. That being said, what @Crazy Cat stated is a possibility, and there are stories, albeit rare, where K1 entrants were detained after the 90 days with no AOS filed (see below for an example). One never knows what life will bring, so it is best to deal with those things in our control, and getting the AOS package in ASAP is something you should strive for. Good Luck!
  3. Mitch is definitely not a proponent of leaving while on top or with some semblance of dignity and grace. Reminds me a bit of Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre, Broadway Joe, and even Tom Brady. Yes, he, or more than likely his handlers, are trying to paint some sort of legacy for him with his Trump picks opposition, but it really just looks sad. I will give Cocaine Mitch credit though for keeping Merrick Garland from SCOTUS.
  4. Love seeing the Euro elite "progressives" with their panties in a bunch when their hypocrisy is unmasked. I know European elite leaders like to be condescending, and they had an absent President in Old Corrupt Joe for the past four years, but they need to get on board or leave the table. Europe disdained US Republicans for years, now euro-elites are in a frenzy https://brusselssignal.eu/2025/02/europe-disdained-us-republicans-for-years-now-euro-elites-are-in-a-frenzy/
  5. I hadn't considered that. I wonder if the CCW application only needs the NOA the N300 was filed? Quite honestly, the receipt NOA could also be the approval NOA for this form as there shouldn't really be much USCIS needs to actually do. To the OP, yes, if you are not eligible to file the N400 right now, and you want to get a CCW in Oregon, then apparently you do not have much choice. Let us know the outcome of that processing. Good Luck!
  6. This is a new one. Even searching N300 here on VJ shows very few references. Additionally, the USCiS processing time site does not even list that form. Regardless, it appears you need it in Oregon for whatever reason. Personally, I would just file the N400 as the processing time for that form in Portland is about 6 months. I imagine the N300 may take about the same amount of time, and you avoid the extra N300 filing fee. Good Luck!
  7. A moderator moved your post to a more appropriate forum. It is no big deal.
  8. Unsure of the current situation, but you can research here. Back when my wife naturalized, the Detroit Passport agency allowed walk-ins for newly naturalized citizens, but I think Covid changed all of that. Good Luck! https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/get-fast/passport-agencies.html
  9. You can use your (the USC's) medical issues as grounds for an expedite. You will need proof of your issues (Drs. notes, diagnoses, treatment plans, etc.) to submit with the request. Just keep in mind expedites are location specific, so if your I130 is currently at USCIS, you need to request your expedite there, then when the I130 moves to NVC, you need a new expedite request at NVC, and the same for the consulate (i.e. expedites, if approved, do not follow the petition through the entire process). Good Luck!
  10. You can start here, not sure if there is a similar platform for people immigrating to Canada. Good Luck! https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/163-emigrating-outside-the-us/
  11. Democrats, and their leftist allies including the DC "conservative" elite of DC, and the synchronized media loves to redefine words. Here is hoping it does not work this time. “Listen Carefully it’s Actually Much Darker”: How the Left is Framing Free Speech as a Front for Fascism Article 118 of the Weimar Constitution, guaranteed free speech but added that it must be “within the limits of the general laws.” It did not protect statements deemed by the government as factually untrue and speech was actively regulated. Indeed, Hitler was barred from speaking publicly. It was not free speech that the Nazis used to propel their movement, but the denial of free speech. They portrayed the government as so fearful and fragile that it could not allow opposing views to be stated publicly. https://jonathanturley.org/2025/02/18/the-demonization-of-dissent-how-the-left-is-framing-free-speech-as-a-front-for-fascism/
  12. I love seeing leftist Democrats, the DC elite and the synchronized leftist MSM hypocritically try to defend limiting free political speech. Europe is a bastion of the elite restricting their citizens, but what else is new. Vance rightly excoriates Europe: What values are we defending? https://nypost.com/2025/02/17/opinion/vance-rightly-excoriates-europe-what-values-are-we-defending/
  13. Interesting, and as usual, fairly spot on. It makes too much sense given the reaction to the Euro elites after the speech. 'Censorship Is the Twin of Failure': Victor Davis Hanson Analyzes JD Vance's Speech to Europe Political commentator, Victor Davis Hanson, was on Fox News recently defending Vice President JD Vance’s Munich speech to Europe. Hanson said Vance was telling the European 'Silent Majority’ that the elites had failed. That failure means censorship is the elites' only option. https://twitchy.com/warren-squire/2025/02/18/victor-davis-hanson-jd-vance-was-telling-the-european-silent-majority-the-elite-has-failed-they-censor-n2408503
  14. What visa are you using to enter the US? This is posted in the K1 forum, so I assume K1, so the CBP officer will remind you of the terms of the K1 visa. Good Luck!
  15. If you included the information from the 2024 tax filing on the I864 you need to include some evidence of that or you risk an RFE. Personally, I would not wait, I would choose option 3, submit the I864 with transcripts for 2022, and 2023 (2021 is not necessary if 2024 info is included), and a copy of the return filed for 2024 along with copies of the W2s/1099s, then also take a copy of the transcript with you to the interview. Good Luck!
  16. I am happy there were no fatalities and a low number of injuries. I was amazed at how fast the leftist media came out and blamed Trump. Is Canada a US state? And then there is Fang Fang's boyfriend Eric Swalwell. https://twitchy.com/samj/2025/02/17/sean-davis-fact-nukes-rep-eric-swalwell-plane-crashes-n2408465
  17. So you planned on returning when you entered the US? I agree with @appleblossom, an AOS in your case looks to be quite risky. An AOS interviewing officer can, and very well may re-visit your intent at your entry especially if your job history and address history shows you ended those right before coming to the US (yes, those are asked for in detail on the I485 including the ending dates). In the end it is up to you. Good Luck!
  18. They shouldn't be different. What date was the AOS approved? I am assuming it is 12/21/2020 since apparently she filed the I751. She should be fine applying for N400 under the 3 yr rule, but if that date is right, she might consider waiting until 85 or so days before 12/21/2025 and apply under the 5 yr rule.
  19. It may seem a bit fishy to a IO that you canceled your life in your home country before even coming to the U.S. I know that intent is determined at the border, but an AOS interviewing officer (IO) could inquire about it. Yes, US immigration can be painfully slow to many, but it is what it is. Good Luck!
  20. It is amazing how the leaders of the church of Global Warming, Global Climate Change, Anthropogenic Global Warming, Anthropogenic Global Climate Change have attacked anyone questioning their often baseless findings or predictions. How Al Gore Silenced Bill Gray... Gore, with his immense political influence and backing from the climate alarmist movement, ensured that Gray was cut off from federal research funding. Before challenging the climate consensus, Gray had consistently received research grants from institutions like the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). After he began questioning the alarmist narrative, those funds mysteriously dried up. Gray himself noted in a 2006 Denver Post interview that the climate change hysteria was based on politics, not science. He warned that grant-driven research was steering the field away from honest inquiry and toward predetermined conclusions designed to support policy goals rather than scientific truth. According to Gray, he was bluntly told by colleagues that his skepticism had made him a liability. Without funding, his ability to continue his research and train new generations of hurricane forecasters was severely hampered. This wasn’t just about punishing Gray; it was a warning shot to the entire atmospheric science community: Dissent from the climate dogma, and your career will be over. https://irrationalfear.substack.com/p/how-al-gore-silenced-bill-gray
  21. Curious about this one. He was supposed to be naturalized by 2006, yet nearly 20 years later there is a question. What about the father, did he naturalize (assuming he is still alive), and if so was Barco under 18 years of age. There is more to the story than this reporter chose to dig into.
  22. Wow, just wow Of course synchronized media will do whatever they can to prop up the Democrats and the DC elite. There were also NYTimes stories about the waste in the federal government, but now they are singing a different tune. Also, I believe the NYTimes were part of the MSM that hid the cognitive decline of Old Petulant Corrupt Joe. Btw, making a personal attack on someone is a ToS violation. No one here has made any personal attacks to you, yet you feel the need to do it yourself which is amazing as you joined a discussion on free speech and an even more wide ranging speech made in Germany by a US official and posted a response that had nothing to do with the topic.
  23. I tend to agree with @Daphne . and @Crazy Cat, even though AOS is an option given you current situation, I would follow through with consular processing as you will be better off in the end (do you want to wait several [8+ months] to be able to work, or potentially travel back to your home country). Since you have the advantage of ESTA, you are able to visit if necessary. Good Luck!
  24. Kind of presumptuous of him. “David Hogg here: I was just elected DNC Vice Chair! This is a huge win for our movement to make the Democratic Party more reflective of our base: youthful, energetic, and ready to win,”
  25. Democrats have a hard time recognizing transparency considering their leaders do not practice it.
