GG&RG got a reaction from Nafis8 in My wife, US Citizen!
I wanted to UPDATE you folks on our story:

My wife was born in Romania, she went to University and got her degree in Nursing. She worked hard, she told me often there would be one doctor, herself and one or two aids to cover 30 patients..many of them critical. She was given a opportunity to accept a nursing job in Kuwait. She went there not knowing Arabic, and very little English.

She worked hard there too, taught herself to be able to communicate in English, Arabic and taught herself Spanish. But she dreamed of coming to America. She had to pass the English equivalency test, she tried several times but didn't make the grade. She basically gave up on the idea of being a nurse in the US, and told God, his will be done.

Then God moved in our circumstances and I came to Kuwait to work a contract for the military, and through a friend made contact with Rodica. We fell in love. We began file papers to bring her home with me. It was a frustrating, and exhausting task. But God in his own timing worked things out and home we came. We got married 5 years ago this week. We started attempting to get her nursing license her in the states. You see she had two licenses already, Romania, and Kuwait. American registration was more difficult than we had anticipated.

Rodica had to pass an English exam to a certain level in order to apply to take the US nursing NCLEX. We had great difficulty in obtaining and certifying Radica's college credential through the CGFNS credentialing service. They made us wait for nearly a year before releasing it to the NC Nursing Board. Rodica tested 7 times in English test before she finally got the required grade.

Rodica didn't stay idle either, she got her NC Drivers license, she received her NC Certified Nursing Assistant, CPR, she tested again and again till she passed the English test. We applied for her Green Card, her permanent resident card, her social security number, and finally her application to become a US Citizen, which she obtained Sept 12, 2018. She was able to vote for the first time during last year mid-term election!

Rodica was finally given permission to take her Nursing exam. She didn't pass the first two times, she said I am not giving up. By the grace and mercy of God the third time was the charm!!!

As you can tell Rodica never quits. We prayed and prayed, we cried together, we prayed some more. Finally with the encouragement of many of you and together with prayers Rodica has succeeded in passing her NCLEX.

It seems like it was only yesterday sometimes, but it has been a long road. I want to thank so many of you, I want to thank the Lord Jesus who sustains us, even to this day.

God is good, all the time...and he will renew his strength in us if we walk uprightly and wait on him.

We have traveled our Visajourney to the end, success !

We followed the steps provided here on the Visajourney website, mixed with prayers, and support from our friends, my wife became a US Citizen on 8/12/2018!!!
It takes a lot of patience, but if you do your homework, file the correct documents, and supply the required information, you will win.

My wife took her Citizen exam on the Sept 12, 2018, she told the examiner she was able to answer all 100 questions, she killed it. My wife said she was a little disappointed because she was so ready they only asked her the simple questions. After her test, they invited her to take the oath, about 2 hours later on the same day. We had and huge hurricane coming in, and since we were already there in the office she agreed to take the oath. We were expecting to get a oath ceremony in about 2 weeks, we wanted to invite some of our friends to attend, but due to impending weather she went ahead and took the oath. We have a new American!!

My wife is from Romania, she told me, when she was a child and saw airliner fly over her house in Romania she would wonder if it was going to America, Our started our journey  2013,
and now she is here! Our next step is for her to pass her nursing license.

Many of you know about this, but what a feeling it is to be able to be part of someone's life long dream, and watch them become an American...the right way, and forever

    Thank you Visajourney!!
I have recommended at least 3 other people to join and win!

Best wishes to you all, God bless!

GG&RG got a reaction from Ontarkie in My wife, US Citizen!

GG&RG got a reaction from cat_lovers in Got my NVC Case Number!!
I just called NVC waited 15 min, and Received my case number!!

If you call and the only ask for you recept number, you dont have a case number assigned yet.

But she asked me the for our names, and date of birth... and told me they just recieved the case yesterday. I was notifed on July 19 that NVC was sent the case.

I am working in Kuwait, my Fiancee lives and works in Kuwait, even though she is Romanian. NVC told me it will take a week or so for the US Embassy to receive our information; and that I could start checking with them to see if they recieved it.
I want to ensure that all the correspondance is sent to me at my APO address in Kuwait...Anything else I should do at this time???
