Going to work in Pampanga would have been a red flag in my book. Most likely going to work as a bar girl. There's plenty more out there, just keep swinging.

I suggest we get rid of restraining orders, give everyone a gun to protect themselves. I just solved most the problems of the country.

In the U.S. it's not what you know but who you know. There's plenty of people with degrees from top schools working in fast food. I agree with them telling you to network, it is always going to pay off the best knowing someone. Good luck with the job search, the best jobs take the longest time to get and have the most interviews.

Aside from it being against the law I'm sure that is one huge red flag to overcome. Marrying a family member has got to be one of the highest fraud factors. Not saying this case is that, but I don't think you will have an easy path OP.

I personally think you brought this on yourself, there was many stages along the way it was obvious there was a problem. I'm pretty sure you don't have kids, get over it and move on. File for divorce, tell USCIS what you think is going on. You are still rapped around her finger, and it shows. Gofundme should be for cancer or something serious, you're having relationship problems which you brought on by being pushed around by your wife and most likely trying to push back. You need to get rid of your lawyer, and file for divorce! Never speak to her again. There's plenty of fish in the sea, yours happens to be a shark.

A baby does provide proof of a relationship, I think they are more concerned about that, as someone committing fraud isn't going to be having a baby with someone. Marriage is becoming a more lose term everyday so it would be hard to prove someone isn't married or is.
OP I think you should be fine, I was worried about my application because of similar reasons and we didn't even have an interview. In the end though it will always depend on who is looking over your files. Good luck!

Dude you lost your passport? You aren't in the system now, you're basically a Jason Bourne and will be hunted down by the government. That or you could just go get a new passport at your Embassy, or if that's too far I would guess they have travel dates. It shouldn't affect your AOS, it could slow it down if it is required at some point but you will just need to get one. Odds are you will get your green card in the mail and nobody will know about the passport. I would work on getting your replacement. Unless your address changed, no need to report to USCIS. Good luck.

I know everyone is quick to jump on the guy, and I agree to me he sounds like a loser. But people change, life is constantly changing. Some people need someone there pushing them along, and maybe when he has you there doing that things will change. If you really wanted to be married to him, I wouldn't give up with out at least trying it out for a little while. Now if you're making the equivalent to say 100k USD a year then maybe it isn't worth the possible hassles. But if you're just kind of starting out in life career wise, you won't notice losing a job. Or maybe you just go for 2 weeks, make it a vacation type thing that if he wows you, then you stay. The abuse thing in this forum is thrown out on almost every post, he may be insensitive and not show he cares for you the way you want him to, but that doesn't mean he doesn't. Good luck!

madtownguy got a reaction from Essiej in Did she just want a green card? Money?
I think you were in a relationship with a female, they lack using rationale. I don't think she was necessarily with you because of a green card, the prenup could get any girl mad, so it's not fair to assume she was trying to get money down the road. Unfortunately the way the system works it is going to put pressure on her to get married, I personally would not get married if my wife didn't need it for her green card because I don't really believe in marriage or a piece of paper telling me a relationship is more or less than what I want it to be. There's plenty of ways to protect money or a house so your wife can not get it with out a prenup. I've dated a girl who was similar to your gf and pushed the marriage thing, but it was after like a month or two. I think when you're at over a year and a half you should know if you want to push forward or not. Good luck with whatever road you pick in life, only you know if the girl has good intentions or bad. Trust your intuition.

You caught me, I spend my time trying to manipulate people that may not even exist on the internet. You could pretty much use this tactic on anyone. I understand you may have a huge age difference from your wife and it may have upset you, but it is something that can add to the problem of a relationship. I'm not blaming someone for snooping, but often times they might find something that they consider to be serious when it's really not. It takes two to tango, in any situation I find both people can be at fault. I never like the one sided response of blame. You can hide out in Alaska and keep exposing us master manipulative people, as if that's a bad thing ha ha. Maybe I should run for office.

I got my wife a dog, until we have a kid it helps a lot. Missing family is normal and one of the best things about the filipino culture, they have strong families. When my wife visits Philippines she misses being here after a day. I would push to try a little more if you really are sure both of you are happy with the relationship.

I had same thing, they aren't concerned with that. Just that you are legally married and were legally divorced before you got married. No need to worry. I had way more what you would consider red flags and didn't have an interview or any problems.

If your attitude is like that in a relationship I suggest you meet people already here in the US. If I had a dime for every time my wife wanted to move back to the Philippines it could pay for the trip. When she goes back to visit she wants to come back to Florida after a day. I would guess their are men too that are irrational and don't put a lot of thought into what they say and do, you may have found one. A week isn't long enough to get even remotely adjusted. Marriage/Relationship is work!

I don't think you should be getting rides from random male strangers, even if you're single it's not a great idea. This is something that should have probably been discussed before you got married though, neither myself or my wife would be ok with having a friend of the opposite sex. It's inconsiderate. You can have couples that are friends, or single same sex friends. You either believe in this set up or you don't, if you have different views then someone will have to change or the relationship won't work. The girls that I've dated that believe in having male friends instantly became only friends with benefits to me, I wasn't raised in a family that my Dad hung out with other girls and my Mom vice versa so maybe it's just what you're use to. I hope you figure it out, but I definitely don't think your husband is over reacting, my wife would cut my balls off if I did that. I would probably just go to the strip club. We have very different anger outlets ha ha.

If you like her and she likes you, why worry about all that stuff she is here who cares how she got here? If love isn't blind why would so many people marry people from other countries. Do what makes you happy, why worry about something you have no control over. If you did get married I personally would not file joint tax returns with someone like that, better safe than sorry. That is when you can get in trouble, otherwise your relationship with her isn't breaking any laws.

It wasn't her job to worry about his wife and kids. She didn't do anything wrong. I sure hope for your sake nothing ever happens to you with that everyone is perfect attitude, or I'm sure yet another post of cheating or relationships ending will end up online. I personally don't know why people go to the internet for relationship advice, there is no right answer regarding relationships. They start and they end, that is the only sure thing.

It's just a relationship, and she didn't care about the unfaithfulness, everything was fine there. I just think people get too worked out over a relationship ending, there's billions of people in the world. I use to be that way when I was younger but I realized it takes too much energy and causes too much stress to worry about why a relationship didn't work or to focus on the past. Don't stop fishing because you caught a great fish and it fell out of the boat, just keep fishing like nothing happened. Unfortunately for some it's much hard done than said.

You should get a restraining order, and then file for child support. When he doesn't attend or doesn't pay, you could get a warrant for arrest at that point. You should have already done this though... The broken nose is enough for a solid restraining order, every time he enters the country they will red flag him regardless of his current status. Hopefully that will make them look twice at his residency when he files to extend that. Good luck.
