dwheels76 reacted to Chancy in Withdrawn/expired K-1 = "refused visa"?
If your wife never submitted a DS-160, then technically, she did not apply for a K1 visa. No visa application to refuse. A petition (even if approved) is not the same as a visa application.

dwheels76 got a reaction from mam521 in F2B approved but how long of a wait at NVC?
Because being land locked and can't travel can be a big issue. Parents get sick, die, Family members need help. I have a close friend immigrated here he waiting for his Advance Parole. Parents died like 8 months apart it took 15 months year to get his AP and EAD card. And this was before COVID. It happens.
Some folk still have personal business to attend to. Some need to still fulfill their job requirements to be ab;e to truly immigrate. Many reasons why people need to travel and can't wait 6 months and such.
But to expect to be here in 9 months I doubt you would be done at USCIS by then. Depends on your service center and California just posted today 16 months for K1. And depending on your country you got a wait to start processing and who knows how far out your calendar is.

dwheels76 got a reaction from Diane and Chris in NOTICE OF INTERVIEW CANCELLATION BY USCIS
By the way what does your status say online for your case? Still Interview scheduled or what? It's a glitch just like when you get approved for their I-751 it will say Card in Production. Then a few days later it will say you are approved. They are ### backwards oh well.

You haven't been around here long. There are a lot of people who have valid (sometimes URGENT) needs to return to home country. Happens a lot. Good luck on your journey.

dwheels76 got a reaction from Crazy Cat in Our Journey from CR-1 to Citizenship
Oh memories I so remember those days back in 2020. I remember when we sent in passport application in July 2020 and then the backlog was like 6 to 8 months and it took 3 weeks. I was like no way a passport is in the mail already. wooowhoooo. My nerves couldn't take these delays now. Lord now way.
Congratulations Crazy Cat.

I found this old timeline while I was organizing laptop files. I updated it with the last few entries. Seeing these entries brought back a lot of memories of hope, anticipation, agony, and joy. It was quite a journey.

dwheels76 got a reaction from Crazy Cat in F4 NVC Approval Letter missing "Invoice ID Number"
It could be back then they didn't give out the IIN so you can't log in now they send it all but you can;t do anything.
Also there's no account for you to create. The account has been created. There's no need to contact lawyer you can go straight to the source and request NVC to send you your IIN since you have your case#. But you have about 3 years before you can start processing.

dwheels76 got a reaction from Inveigh in Case last updated two times still status shows refused..
It means they are working on your case. Every time they touch t, open it, update information the date will update. It's not either positive or negative it's progress.
When they are done it should change to READY then Issued.

dwheels76 got a reaction from Redro in K1 visa seems to be faster than cr1/ir1
For Nigeria it's the same time. So no it's not faster for many embassies. USCIS processing is much longer. And after approval getting interview dates is quite daunting.

You shouldn't need a joint sponsor. Is it just you and your wife so household of two you are above the guidelines.

dwheels76 got a reaction from SalishSea in Passport Bros
RapidVisa isn't a very good indicator. Why? Because it's Philippines focus the majority of their applications is older men petitioning women thus the 80% filing rate for them.
