I got married to USA citizen. He petitioned for me last year 2024. An interview was scheduled by USCIS. A week before our interview I found out he was married before in 2016 and The ex wife left him and divorced him in an unknown county .The lawyer decided to reschedule the interview until we find the divorce decree. I have gone around all courts of texas but there is no divorce or any form of separation. I reached out to the lady he married before for assistance however she is non responsive. I am told she probably divorced in Louisiana as she resides there, still not sure of which county.
Kindly advice and assist what I should do next.

Are you currently out of status?   Your attorney should be able to find the divorce decree (if it exists).

If there is a divorce decree

You must know the date that narrows it down

It's unusual that he would not be aware of what county (or state) that divorce was filed.  Both Texas and Louisiana require six months of state residency and 90 days of county (parish in Louisiana) residency before divorce can be filed, so maybe this will narrow it down a bit.  Divorces are public records in both states.  Notification of the other party is mandatory, except in very rare circumstances, so he really should know something.

the divorce decree(s) are required for an I-130 petition to be approved

If the petitioner did not disclose the prior marriage on the I-130 that was approved, there will likely be issues of misrepresentation to overcome.  A very good US immigration attorney will be needed to try and fix this.

I would get an immigration attorney if you want to find a way to stay in the U.S.  Above all, you need to file for divorce because undisclosed marriages are a huge moral red flag.
