Hello all,

Currently my 751 is pending at Potomac for almost a year with no updates at all besides 2 extension letters. I will be eligible to file my N-400 later this month and in preparing for that I read to upload a letter to request a combo interview so both the 751 and the N-400 can adjudicated together on the same day at the same interview. Has anybody uploaded that and would be kind enough to share a template of that letter? I would highly appreciate that.

Thank you.

@Crazy Cat Awesome, thanks so much!

The great idea to send a request letter was from @Family.  Since I sent our letter, I believe others have done so, too.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

We're among those who followed that advice, and are grateful for it. We didn't think of it at the time my husband applied, but uploaded it later. The letter simply said that he wanted to bring to their attention that he had a pending I-751. We also mentioned it as he was checking in for his N400 interview. He got the combo interview and took the oath that same day!

Tagging along as someone who also did this, using @Crazy Cat's template. I am not sure it made a difference, since my 751 was randomly approved a few weeks prior to the N400 interview... And the officer didn't even know about the 751. But it can't hurt!
