Am seeking how to move my wife's chinese parents to America. Requirements as how much do I have to make to be their support and forms and basically how to get it done without a lawyer. Thanks to all who can give me a point of view.

Thanks...also what does she need to make in salary per year to do this. She owns our house. Not much more assets. Thank you.

Read the I864 instructions. 125%of poverty level for household size including immigrate. Bigger question.. What are the plans for health insurance?

They won't qualify for Medicare.  The healthcare issue is a CRUCIAL part of planning, as you could be paying >$2k/month in premiums for them.

Will they be working?

No they won't be working and are over 68 years old. So as permanent residents they can't qualify for any government medical help I guess. So I will have to buy insurance for them I take it? Thanks for all the help from all of you. This is a daunting task I see. My wife makes 50k a year will that be enough support?

It will be enough to sponsor, hopefully they have substantial retirement savings

Depends on your household size.  If 4, the two of you and the parents, then yes, $50k would meet the I864P requirements.

Good Luck!

They will never qualify for Medicare or Medicaid as they never paid into the system and it sounds like they never will. You will have to provide private insurance for them.
