You just don't get it..... The consulate will see this is a TEXTBOOK case of trying to bypass the legal immigration process.  Duh!!

How are we trying to bypass the system when I CLEARLY STATED we will apply for k1 so we can do it the legal way DUH!!!  IF WE were trying to do something illegal...we would not get the embassy in SL involved with questions etc.  We have been dating way over a year so why would we wait over a year to do something illegal????!!  Make that make sense!  Why are you pissy??

@MrandMrsKoroma22   Good day.. please listen for a second. These season veterans know what of they speak too. I understand that you are seeking help/advice here on this platform.

But my i ask, you again please listen. they are trying to help you. I was once a person who was looking for answers that i only wanted to hear. But in time i just listen them and saved time and money.

These guys could be getting paid for the information that they re giving out for free!!.. But they choose to help people who are seeking the same adjectives. Good luck with your journey because it's a long process no matter how its done.

I'm being realistic. Duh!!  I have seen hundreds of cases like this. If I were you, I would FIND a way to meet outside the US.

Unless he can convince the CO that he will return home, there will be no tourist visa.  The CO is not obligated to even look at evidence. So far, I see nothing that will sway the CO.

Ok.

If he lies on the application about having family in the US, don’t expect a positive outcome.

Are you saying his uncle wants to petition him for an immigrant visa?

No.  Reread what I said slowly.

Soo 55% of B applicants are approved at this Consulate

So the next question is if he is likely to be in that 55% category, insufficient data to comment

The only real way of knowing is to apply and find out

I think the comments are based on filling in the gaps due to insufficient data, something i know I do because often you have to

The Uncle comment intrigued me, how does he fit in?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I don’t need to reread it slowly.

You said “his uncle plans to send for him, too.”

No one here knows what that means.

My question was simple do we apply for K1 with waiver or Tourist visa so we can satisfy k1 requirement of meeting in person.

In my opinion, these are ranked in order of probable success:

1.  Meet outside the US before filing a K-1.

2.  Tourist Visa to enter the US.

3.  Waiver for K-1 meeting requirement

Good luck.

You said someone said you needed an invitation letter, I mentioned if that was a requirement there would be very few tourists.

And every single person here has said that neither option will “satisfy” that requirement.   The advice you’ve gotten has been dismissed by you immediately.

Not sure what you’re hoping for.   Someone to come along who did what you’re proposing?   Won’t happen.

If you don’t like the feedback you’re getting, that’s on you.   It’s not because anyone is refusing to help.
