The uncle got his citizenship 20 ueaears ago so he could have easily brought his nephew over. We are not interested in deceiving the government. We will not get the uncle involve because we are simply trying to meet and further our relationship. Embassies can't have rules for people and don't make provisions for them to follow the rules even if hardship occur.

All I heard so far. ..no matter which way we go he will be denied and that I will have to go see him as if I didn't know that. Secondly ...there were more opinions shared than advices. People are entitled to their opinions...I didn't ask for them them. My question was simple do we apply for K1 with waiver or Tourist visa so we can satisfy k1 requirement of meeting in person.

How are we trying to bypass the system when I CLEARLY STATED we will apply for k1 so we can do it the legal way DUH!!! IF WE were trying to do something illegal...we would not get the embassy in SL involved with questions etc. We have been dating way over a year so why would we wait over a year to do something illegal????!! Make that make sense! Why are you pissy??

It is his maternal uncle and his family. I don't think it is necessary include his uncle is planning to send for him himself.

You want him to stay at your house? Sleep at the airport? Sleep on the park bench? Of course he will stay at house during his visit. Duh! He will go back home because we will do the right thing regardless of the embassy believe it or not

I was never intended to apply for the tourist visa. I said nothing of soɛr. Secondly... WE ARE TRYING TO MEET IN PERSON. Our goal is marriage however that is not the purpose of the tourist visa. The purpose was for him to meet my family and I will meet his family that is in America. We WILL have two weddings because of our culture. I am planning to visit his family in his country once I have the go ahead to travel. The invitation letter was requested by the embassy in SL because he will be staying with me and they needed to know my information about many things they have asked.

That is why we are applying for the tourist visa but folks saying he will be denied. So it sounds like he shouldn't apply for anything because he will be denied anyways.

If I had an issue with the comments...I would have stated it. I am tired of repeating myself to a question that has been asked many different ways but the condition is still Constant. Folks are staying meet him as if I don't want to meet him. Folks are saying travel to Mexico or Canada as if that would make a difference in my condition. All I am asking should we or shouldn't we apply for the tourist visa or apply for K1 visa with waiver. I will be not be able to travel anywhere at this point so that is clear.

If I didn't have a medical condition and were able to travel..I would t have created this post. The whole point is I am NOT able to fly because of a medical condition that requires specialized care at the moment. It is not because we can't afford it nor I was denied a visa to his home country..it is simply because I am not able to fly at the moment. It is not a self imposed restriction that I placed on myself. I hope this is clear.
