Good afternoon everyone,

 

Does anyone have any knowledge on the Parole program in regards to CR-1 visa cases. My wife and I have been DQ'd back in February and are looking at a very long wait period for an interview. Is this parole program an option? I appreciate any information that you guys may have. Thank you so much!

This program would require adjustment of status, correct @Boiler.

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Yes but it is free to apply and well why not? You do not have to commit until it is approved

Yes, you and your wife can apply.

 

However, if you do and she is paroled into the US, you will need to start a new process - Adjustment of Status.  That will take up to 2 years.

 

I believe Haiti has backlogs for interview.  You may need to wait up to 6 months, perhaps longer.  But when you do get the interview and get approved for the CR1/IR1, she will immediately be an LPR when she enters the US.

If she wants she can always go back for the interview no downside can just use it to visit and work

Yes Haiti has extreme backlogs and interview dates are backed up for about 2 years so that’s why I was asking about the parole program. We will most likely be waiting 2 years anyway for an interview so why not wait for the adjustment of status. She will at least be here with me. She has health issues that we need to get her help for so waiting 2 years in Haiti could be serious for her. Sorry for the long response I just hoping to get to my wife as soon as I can. I appreciate your help 🙏🏻

many people have taken advantage of this program to get their spouse or fiancé here this route. The only requirement is that the sponsor has status in the US and the funds to support the people/persons and the beneficiary is from one of the 4 countries without residency or refugee status in another county. 

My husband and I are sponsoring his best friend to take advantage of this program: work and experience our most fabulous ND winters lol. Took about 1 month from submitting the I-134A to sponsor-approval and that wait time is lengthening with each passing day as more and more applications are filed.

Parole is temporary no difference to say visiting
