Im confused

Did they take the original and payment at secondary ? Or do you now have to file it. You have to be given a biometrics  appointment not just turn up at the ASC

or did the signed I193 just a “ formality “ ?

I renewed my gc before flying here. I already have i 797 with biometric appointment.

They did not take any payment for the i 193. They filled it up and I signed it and gave me a copy. And told me to show up on my biometric appt in my i 797

Did you ever get a separate I-797 that extends your green card for 24 months from its expiration?

how long to wait to received the actual green card from date that says it is produced?

Did you get a status sating "card was produced"?

If so, less than 2 weeks. Keep reloading the case status, and eventually (days) you will get a USPS tracking code.

Now is the time for you to:

  • download the lawfully app and add your I-90 case to it. Make sure notifications are on and check each day in the morning as I find lots of stuff happens over night.
  • setup USPS Informed Delivery

It does seem that the longer a gc is expired the higher priority USCIS put on the case, if it is new

If I ask someone in the usa to file i90 to renew green card, would it require them to finger print me?

Another green card miracle. You've had two in row. Time to take your winnings off the table.

Stay home for 5 years and naturalize. Congratulations.
