Hello, is anyone currently going through the DCF process for an CR1/IR1 visa in the UK? We filed on Jan 25th, got approved on the spot, and still haven’t heard anything since.

What do you mean by "approved on the spot"?  What was approved??

Same experience with DCF.  They take your petition package at the counter, flip through it in front of you, toss out the stuff they dont need, approve it, and in our case handed us our first Packet.
The old days were good 😂.  I suspect OP may have had a similar experience.

Seems to be the same, it just sucks not having any updates or anything when it comes to where I’m at in the process. All I was told was that my case was going to be sent to the NVC and that it may take up to 12 weeks for processing.

Did not think NVC was involved.

The I-130 was approved on the spot at the embassy.

It should not have gone to the NVC.  That is a transfer from USCIS.

Are you positive the embassy transferred it?  Did you receive a list of docs and a “ready to interview” form to submit with them?

They may have done so. If you don’t mind me asking, when did you go through the process?

It was awhile back, but I have followed them for 10 years here.  Never saw this step.  Very interested in your case now.

To my knowledge, the only thing which has changed is the removal of USCIS field offices at consulates......which would not have affected the DOS aspect.   Hopefully, we will see....

I believe that it’s due to the fact that the USCIS office closed down back in 2020

Our embassy did not have a USCIS office.

We have returned to the US from expat assignments twice.  Last was 2018.  Same process both times.  No NVC at all.  CO’s are granted authority to process petitions under a narrow set of conditions and if they accepted yours you met them.  So:  It’s a deviation.
