my friend just called me. she just finished oat ceremony. same day. her military husband is in korea. the guy in the entrance wont let her in without the spouse. but she begged and one officer came out, did the interview. dragged her to other room for oath ceremony. she's a citizen now.  in 2.30 pm out 3.30 pm. crazy ride !

 

and no....she doesnt know anybody LOL. technically is only 3 months + few days ! FO. jacksonville, FL

yeah im so happy for her. i grilled her for few weeks for her to get ready. she doesnt know anything. from the beginning of AOS she hired a  lawyer. everytime i asked her anything she said she doesnt know. i told her let me helped you with n-400.

Edit: 3 months

Do not follow the processing time. It differs on many occasions.

She can see her letter and date through documents in her account just in case she wants to know beforehand. Congrats on her upcoming oath ceremony

its already done. after 15 mnts interview she was dragged to other room for ceremony yesterday. got her naturalization certification immediately. 1 hour total in and out

That’s awesome. I chuckled when you said she was dragged into another room for her oath ceremony. I’m sure she went willingly. Congrats!!!!

You’re a wonderful friend. Many believe that need to hire a lawyer when they haven’t committed a crime. It’s a great cost for nothing. I saw someone hire a lawyer and was denied adjustment because the wife did not share her inability to have kids when asked if she discussed having kids with her husband. They apparently didn’t need a lawyer but got one anyway. I don’t know if they appealed but that was the discussion when they returned to the waiting area. Wife thought it was best to state that they have never discussed having kids when the truth is that she’s unable to. As a matter of fact they were not a young couple either. The only advise the lawyer gave as he sat before me was to just be relaxed. Congrats again to your friend

yeah the funny part is i havent even have my AOS interview yet ( i just applied 3 months ago ) but she trusted me and listen to everything i said. im glad its over for her

My son got just one email notification throughout the process. You don’t have to log in daily. There are case tracker apps. The one I used is called case tracker for USCIS and it has the flag with the USCIS logo with the eagle. Once your info is in you just need to check without having to be logging in.
