Hello friends ,

i have conditional green card and i'm removing the condition but the time for the ROC is taking for ever , my question when i can file for N 400 as my green card issued on 09/30/19 ?

When did you file your ROC?  Are you still married? If you stay married, then you can submit the N400 3 years from your GC date, minus 90 days.  If divorced, then 5 years from you GC date.  There is also continuous residency requirement that you need to meet.

i know that it's long ride but the time line for process for ROC is almost 2 years that's why I'm asking when i can file for N400

The length of time it takes for ROC has no impact on filing for citizenship.  The processes sometimes overlap and/or are done concurrently.

By my calculations, you can file the N-400 in June of 2022.  The current delays in the ROC process nationally are similar for naturalization.

July 2, 2022 you are eligible to file for citizenship.

The only thing I will add is when filing for the N400, if doing it online, do not file even a day early as it will end up being rejected.  I also calculate July 2, 2022 as the day your 90 day window opens for the N400, I suggest submitting the application on July 3, or July 4.

Good Luck!

Unless you are expecting your ROC to be denied that will ultimately nullify pending N400, you can file N400 once eligible. Your ROC can be pending while you file for N400.

The ROC is really irrelevant if naturalization is the ultimate goal.  When your N400 window opens file regardless of the ROC status.
