Same thing happened to my friend in the san Francisco USCIS office. He interviewed with his wife on a AOS from a K1 and still hasn't received the green card, and he interviewed February 2020.

The SF office is pretty bad in my biased opinion. I had my initial I-485 interview there in May 2019 (*an RFE was issued a few days later which I promptly responded to) and then waited almost 2 years for further action which was a follow-up interview in April 2021. Still currently waiting for a decision on the I-485. I already renewed my EAD/AP twice. I'm about to renew for a third time in a few months.

That's insane. He didn't get an rfe or anything but still he has tried everything he can come up with, and same canned response. Hopefully they backdate the green card, or as long as you have been waiting, you should file the N400, LOL, but that's the issue, first thing they need is a copy of your green card. You have been waiting so long I wonder if you will have to ROC even.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

When sending in  the needed info was the document clarified as to the alien #,  the correct name and DOB ?

Often some of this info is missing

The embassy might have (and might not have ) included your case # from interview but now immigration needs alien #

When you talk to a Tier 2 person ID both the embassy case # and your alien # or you will still be in limbo

i am surprised they did not say "new medical in USA needed"  since it been over 2 years

Same here. I had my Greencard interview two weeks ago. They were missing part of my file, my medical exam which was not sent along with the rest of my case. The officer said it was the only thing needed left to approve my case. She said it'll take a couple of days.

At this point I am expecting an RFE assuming they lost it.
