Anyone else who has a recent application for a K-1 case filed at the Texas service Center?  Our application was received last week, just curious if anyone filing in the last 30 days has received notification

Thanks

You filed at the Texas lockbox,  not to be confused with the Texas service center.  Your file will be assigned to California.   Notices are taking up to 2 months.  100s  of threads on this

YMMV

I am new here I liked for posts regarding my question, didn't see anything recent, must have looked in the wrong spot.  Well I don't understand the process, I used Rapid Visa to assist in my application, I am assuming they are instructed where to send it?

Thanks for your input Keith

Assuming they sent it to one of these:

U.S. Postal Service (USPS):
USCIS
P.O. Box 660151
Dallas, TX 75266

FedEx, UPS, and DHL deliveries:
USCIS
Attn: I-129F
2501 South State Highway 121 Business
Suite 400
Lewisville, TX 75067

In which case, that's the "Texas Lockbox" - which is a document intake location.  That facility scans forms, cashes payment, etc., then routes the file to the California Service Center.  The "Texas Service Center" has nothing to do with I-129Fs.  You should update your profile to show your service center is California Service Center (and not Texas Service Center, as it currently appears).  In the unlikely event your case ever gets transferred (e.g. if there's unusual background check information), it would go to the Vermont Service Center.

I updated the service center on my timeline.  Interesting that you got your NOA1 in a week!!! Great!!!

Hey i know this process can be crazy.  I would definitely post in the April I-129 Filers group also (feel free to post in any other but definitely that group) so you can keep track of others filing in April also.  The expectations above are definitely real with receipt of your NOA-1, but know that whenever the lockbox actually received your petition, that is when the time clock starts.  For me, the lockbox received my petition on 15 January.  I did not receive my text until March (forgot the date but i have it in my timeline) and the actual physical paper was about a week after that.  My case number still reflects January 15th though.  I hope this helps and stay strong!

I used Rapid Visa too and they should've provided you with a tracking number at least so you can see that it was delivered. I wish I was a part of this group before I paid Rapid Visa. The reason I say this, is because every time I called Rapid Visa, I would get different answers, and those response were from people that did not personally go through the immigration process. There are so many members on here that will give you great advice. Welcome to the group!

I did get a tracking number and it was delivered to the lockbox on April 6th.  I was waiting to add that to the timeline until after I receive the NOA-1

Have you seriously been going through this process since October 2019?

Thanks for reaching out?

December 2019 by the look of it. Most choose not to go for a K-1 visa now during the pandemic as embassies haven't issued any K-1 visas for a year now, that's why you see people who filed a very long time ago still haven't gotten to the embassy stage yet. Those who have the opportunity to get married instead file for the spousal visa as those have still been issued in some form throughout the (almost) whole pandemic.

Once the K-1 visas finally start being processed again, the backlog will likely be enormous. So prepare yourself for a very long wait, possibly years.
