It took a year from the date of receipt of our K-1 application to notice of approval. Fortunately from there things have moved much faster, just a little over a month for the NVC to receive, enter and process the petition and forward to the Argentina consulate!!! Check out the dates above |

Embassy Review : |
Things went quickly, the interviewer was friendly but brief. We needed to retake passport photos and then make a second trip to the embassy to resubmit original documents. Why she didn't keep them at the interview we don't know. I was not allowed inside the embassy at anytime during the process. |

Timeline Comments: 9We have been busy sending inquiries, both online and through our congressman, all for naught. Just trying to be patient as the days go by
Today about 5 p.m. we received our approval. Woo hoo!
Yes, they received it yesterday, but have not entered it yet, hoping to get case number next week.
Where is yours at?
That's wonderful!! Ours is still at NVC.
Today we received our interview date, June 28th. In Argentina you can't pay your visa fees until there is an appointment available. So after checking daily for 10 days finally we were able to book an interview appointment. I am going to Buenos Aires and although I can't participate I can be there as a show of support. Hoping we will be able to fly home together as soon as the visa is issued
Hooray~~ Congratulations to you both!!!
The interviewer said we were approved based on submitting different photos for the passport. Dropped them off s few hours later now waiting for confirmation
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
