I'm not sure when they would have doubled it? They only did 8 k1 interviews in February and those probably involved medical emergencies or great lawyers. I don't trust this lady

I’ll take a guess here and say it’s because they just suspended visa services starting today in Yekaterinburg, and Vladivostok is still closed. Maybe they’ve consolidated the staff to Moscow??

Regardless, 8 is more than 0, but nowhere near where it needs to be....

Where can we find that monthly list of visas??

Sounds like that's what they're doing. Yekaterinburg nor Vladivostok never processed K-1's or spousal visas so it doesn't affect anyone waiting for those visas.

I'm about six months into NOA1 for the K-1 fiancê visa, in attempt to bring my Russian fiancé in to the U.S. to marry me. Still don't have USCIS approval. I'm now very afraid of landing on a terrible backlog of files at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow.

My father has recently been diagnosed with stage four cancer. My younger brother died a few years ago, and my father wants to be around for our wedding. It's going to be so heartbreaking if these consular operations are what stops that from happening.

Sorry to hear about your predicament. What harm is there in requesting an expedite??  Nothing to lose, and possibly a lot to gain.

I’m so sorry to hear this. Best wishes for your father and hopes for healing and peace for your family. We were in a similar situation with a very sick family member and I was afraid they would not be able to see our wedding. This was one of the reasons (but not the only) we dropped the k1 and got married instead. It won’t be quicker but our marriage and wedding was more important to have and I was tired of waiting on when I could be told to get married.

Found love, thought I wanted this path, two years later realized my partner was not worth all the stress 😁

There is one k1 filer whose interview was cancelled last march who was called today for an interview. No expedite. We are hoping we'll see more of these in the next week

Great news! Do you happen to know the date they scheduled the interview for? Just trying to get an idea of how far out they are scheduling or if things are actually happening now :)
