Congrats on the marriage!! Any idea on the timeline for the CR1 yet?

@caboose29 Thank you! We are preparing documents to file the I-130 and will be submitting soon. I have no idea on the timeline. Its looking like 18 months to 2 years is a good estimate since the Moscow embassy is still closed. I hope for sooner but am prepared to wait.

I hope I don’t regret going the K1 route. I may be following in your footsteps. I just wish they’d open the damn embassy.

You have to do what's best for you! Truthfully we were so ready to be married. I will say, It does sting less being apart now that he is my husband. :)

How often do you think you’ll get to see each other while waiting??

I’m working on getting a russian private visa. If I can get one, I hope to go see him every 4-5 months. Every 6 months at the most.

Congratulations! Was this approved through Moscow?! Or did you go through Poland? Regardless, that seems very fast. I’m sure you’re delighted! I’m very happy for you!

@caboose29 Hi there! This is only the USCIS step so we are still waiting for NVC (2 ish months) and then need to request to transfer to most likely Poland. I guess that will take another 4-5 months after NVC. I have seen that be the only country willing to take Russian transfers despite lots of people asking tons of other countries.

Well still, it’s great news. My immigration attorney thinks Georgia and Armenia would be good choices as opposed to Poland. I’m not sure yet since I’m still waiting on NOA2 and haven’t reached out to any alternate embassies yet.

Interesting, I think I have seen both of them deny people who ask to transfer there. Hopefully things change!! Fingers crossed you get good news soon!

Congratulations, wish quick rest of you procedure. Did you sent i-130 and i-129F at the same time?,

@sybi hello! No, I sent it about 2 months after the I-130.

Thank you for your answer, the other question is, did you recieve an approval for you i-129F or the i-130?

I only received a receipt for the I-129f so far. The I-130 was approved! I imagine the I-129f will be denied in the next few days/ weeks.

Hi!! Did you approval notice come from Potomac SC? Did you expedite? thx
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
** Not all cases are transfered
