Why is it deemed acceptable to target police with things like commercial fireworks, etc.  Isn’t that the same as police facing a suspect with a firearm or knife?

If aimed at an officer it's a crime ranging from assault to attempted murder (on an officer), and when used on buildings they're in to set them on fire is both arson and attempted murder. Police would be well justified to use lethal force in these circumstances regardless of the current political environment. 

 

Also... members of Congress are doing their best to incite riots which itself is a crime. At this point its not even the usual subtle dog whistles, but direct calls to escalate.

I read this from Rep. Pressley.  Truly disgraceful, but not completely unexpected.  I understand that police do not want to use lethal force to defend themselves as it would create a bunch of martyrs, but it is something I think about from time-to-time.

LOL, Alex watched the first Terminator last night while I was lying in bed with my eyemask on. It is a strange experience to only listen to a film, at least I'd seen it before a few times. I fell asleep before he turned on what he must have intended as a Schwarzenegger double feature, because I woke up at midnight and Total Recall was on but he was passed out and snoring. I do not know if that happened before or after the three-boobied woman part.
